Renae M. Reinardy, Psy.D. received her doctorate at Argosy University, Washington, D.C. She is the Director of the Lakeside Center for Behavioral Change. Dr. Reinardy specializes in the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, hoarding disorder, and related conditions. She has been an adjunct professor at the doctoral level and has presented numerous times at national conferences and at local meetings and trainings. She is also the Program Developer of Courage Critters, on on-line and plush animal system. Dr. Reinardy has been interviewed on Good Morning America, North Dakota Today and the Joy Behar Show. She has also had her treatment techniques featured on Dateline NBC and A&E’s Hoarders.
The Courage Critters program is a tool that parents, caregivers, teachers, doctors and children can use as a guide to decrease common childhood fears and body focused repetitive behaviors. If every child knew these skills it would be of great benefit to our children's mental and physical health. The Courage Critter provides the child with comfort while the website offers a fun, and informative program. The Critter is a high quality plush toy that arrives with a password allowing the child membership into the Courage Club. This will give children access to all pages on the website.
There are many stuffed animals available on the market, but none serve the same function as Courage Critters. Children often hold a beloved stuffed animal close to them in difficult situations, but only the Courage Critter has the training to stand up to fear bullies and body focused behaviors! This is a unique system for issues that impact most children and their families.

Marla Fibish and Bruce Victor are Noctambule and they play original and traditional music rendered with lush beauty, sensitivity and humor on an unusual array of strings -- various guitars in varied tunings, mandola, mandolin, bouzouki, cittern, tenor guitar -- and their blended voices. They take the name Noctambule, French for 'night-owl,’ from a Robert Service poem about a nocturnal ramble through the back alleys of Paris. Much of their music is poetry set to music and some songs are traditional reels and waltzes. The first album, Travel In Shadows won critical acclaim and they have recently released a second album, The Waking, once again, setting poetry to music and we look forward to talking with both of them this Friday.
Lori Jean has the life experience to sing songs of life and the voice to do it. Living with head damage from abuse as a toddler and then later as an adult, she never lost her desire to sing. In fact, her first words were “mommy, please play a record”. She skipped high school to write lyrics, formed a child sibling band, and followed her star – often led by inspiration from Stevie Nicks, The Pretenders and Cindi Lauper. Her first album, Love of a Child, was recorded with French pop singer Ned Euphorya . Her next single, “Super Lady” is due for release in 2016, but we have it here. All of her music is dedicated to stopping the kind of domestic violence she suffered, especially to teens. She joins us tghis Friday wsith her story and her songs.

Even with cannabis friendly Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, Orange County is not a friendly county for medical marijuana. Bans, moratoriums and police actions seem to rule the day but fighting mightily for the rights of patients is Marla and David James. From early advocacy with OCNORML to national notoriety when arrested and insulted by cops at a dispensary in Santa Ana, the James will tell all on this revealing episode of Marijuana Compassion and Common Sense.
The James are patients who understand the importance of the availability of marijuana for their health and the health of others and they are willing to work for it. Although not exactly working in the background, their hard and successful work had gained little attention outside Orange County circles until they were arrested by police at a Santa Ana dispensary.
Unbeknownst to the cops, they were videotaped by a secret surveillance system and the video of them during the raid eating marijuana brownies and talking about how they would like to kick Marla James’ amputated leg went viral resulting in stories from the L.A. Tmes to the Washington Times. Arrested with 11 other patients and volunteers, the James provide insider details on what happened that fateful day and how the whole incident has backfired on the cops and the city of Santa Ana.
