    Darrell Gardner's Horsemanship was founded upon four principles: 


    Showing Your Horse Love 
    By expressing love to your horse it helps to build a good relationship and strong bond. This will lead to a better response from your horse. 


    Gaining Respect 
    If you don't have respect on the ground, you won't have it on the saddle. Respect is an essential part of horsemanship and it begins with good ground manners 


    Teaching Obedience 
    Obedience comes with consistent training. This teaches your horse what you expect and how to quickly respond to the cues given. 


    Loyalty between the horse and trainer 
    It all begins with gaining trust. Your initial approach is extremely important. It takes patience and time to get your horse to gain faith in you.

    Indie Book Rebels #8 - Mark Gardner, Writing or his Head will Explode

    In this episode of Indie Book Rebels we're going to talk with author Mark Gardner, indie author of several works including:  Paradox; a short story, and three compact novels, Body Rentals & Forlorn Hope and Escape.


    Mark Gardner lives in central Arizona with his wife of 14 years, two school-age children and a black lab. Mark has a degree in computer systems and applications, and is currently attending Northern Arizona University, enrolled in the Applied Human Behavior program. Mark does his writing on an old Apple eMac and iPad utilizing Apple iWork Pages and iCloud.


    We'll talk about his books, which cross several genres, from techo-thriller to dystopian. We'll discuss his journey as a writer, and his newest fantasy novel coming out soon called Champion Standing.


    And since, Mark is in the middle of a crowdfunding campaign to raise both funds and awareness of upcoming work, we'll spend time discussing crowdfunding in general, and how an Indie author can take advantage of it.     Floyd Dent “I’m lucky to be living. I think they was trying to kill me, especially when they had choked me. I mean, I was on my last breath. I kept telling the officer, ‘Please, I can’t breathe,’” Dent said. Dent was not armed, but was driving on a suspended license. Police said they found a bag of crack cocaine under the passenger’s seat, but Dent said it was planted.Dent, who retired from Ford Motor Co. after 37 years, has no criminal record. Dent said a blood test revealed he didn’t have any drugs in his system. “I don’t have to sell drugs. I don’t sell drugs,” Dent said.
