Don’t ask the former N.Y. Knicks point guard why he didn’t resign with the Boston Celtics last year, and instead went to play for the Chinese Basketball Association. “That’s my business. That’s not for everybody—what I do with my contract,” says Stephon Marbury. “I’m not gonna ask Donald Trump what his contract was for buying that whole lot on the Westside Highway—what he negotiated. I ain’t goin’ into that.”
Marbury v. Madison
The government of the United States is of the latter description. The powers of the legislature are defined and limited; and that those limits may not be mistaken, or forgotten, the Constitution is written. To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing, if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained? The distinction between a government with limited and unlimited powers is abolished if those limits do not confine the persons on whom they are imposed, and if acts prohibited and acts allowed are of equal obligation. It is a proposition too plain to be contested, that the Constitution controls any legislative act repugnant to it; or, that the legislature may alter the Constitution by an ordinary act.
Between these alternatives there is no middle ground. The Constitution is either a superior paramount law, unchangeable by ordinary means, or it is on a level with ordinary legislative acts, and, like other acts, is alterable when the legislature shall please to alter it.
If the former part of the alternative be true, then a legislative act contrary to the Constitution is not law: if the latter part be true, then written constitutions are absurd attempts on the part of the people to limit a power in its own nature illimitable.
Certainly all those who have framed written constitutions contemplate them as forming the fundamental and paramount law of the nation, and consequently, the theory of every such government must be, that an act of the legislature, repugnant to the constitution, is void.

I have already made my thoughts known on the Luog Deng-Andrew Bynum trade in a column, the gist of whih is that the big loser in this deal was the Lakers. Go ahead and click through and give it a read as you listen to this audio from the NBA's Sirius-XM radio channel, in which I go into further detail about why Mitch Kupchak blew a golden opportunity to set the Lakers up for having a spectacular team -- and not having to pay the repeated luxury tax -- in the 2015-16 season, when Kobe Bryant will be in the final season of his contract.
But that is not all we touched on in this wide-ranging interview with hosts Frank Isola and Mateen Cleaves.
With Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook out for the next several weeks with injuries, who is the best point guard currently playing in the West? The choices are Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard, and I not only answered the question, I made the hosts answer it, too. (Can't help myself; I am still a reporter at heart, and reporters ask questions).
Andre Miller of the Nuggets also gets discussed, as do Stephon Marbury, Delonte West and Bobby Brown -- of of whom are currently playing in China.
My 1st show! We "In The Paint" my focus fr the 1st show will be the black balling of the NBA's Stephon Marbury, my NFL football preview, the Mayweather vs. Marquez fight preview.
This show was very interesting. I had Monet Merchand on the show. She is currently going back in forth with a drama filled life from striking up a friendship with retired NBA player Stephon Marbury. His wife Tasha has taken to social media to slam Monet. I decided to bring her on the show so she could explain in her words what's really going on. We can read all the blogs and etc online, but nothing comapres to actually speaking to the involved party. And it didnt help that guys on the show were being themselves. She was a very nice young woman that has a lot of positive stuff going in her life. She will mos def be back during NBA wives new season.
