Live Chat: Loving our Mandingo MAN and selecting HIM

    in Women

Live Chat: Loving our Mandingo MAN and selecting HIM loving our Mandingo man and selecting him. We need to go back to the basics you cannot eat the Orange then put it back because you don't like it. You must examine the fruit with limited senses not all is them then you buy. If the customer does not like own oranges maybe we did not grow them right or we picked them too early, or they just need to go to another store.

We have to reach our young ladies to be more selective. How does he teat his mother, does he have children, is he taking care of them, does he go to work, would you hire him. Just because someone says they like you doesn't mean anything. They should like you because you are like-able. So there needs to be some more criteria than he likes me and he is cute.   www.crsradio.com and www.caribbeanradioshow.com or email caribbeanradioshow@gmail.com

Raising the Mandingo Man Child ( Mother's Relationships with Sons)part 2

    in Music

Raising the Mandingo Man Child ( Mother's Relationships with their Sons)With or without a husband or man in the household, raising a male child can be challenging for a woman. She wants to protect him from the world, prepare him to be a positive and responsible member of society, provide him with opportunities to succeed, pamper him with her love.

She has to deal with the forces and influences of society, whether the force is the school administration, officers of the law, the general community or her husband or her man or her family members. In his younger years, the bond is strong and they have a wonderful relationship. As he gets older, in his early teen or teen years, when he starts to feel himself, he begins to challenge her authority, act like the "man of the house" (that's what she called him) and suddenly there is conflict. When dad or father figure is in the home, some times, mom has protected her son against his advice, now the drama begins.

When dad is not in the house, many times mom will say in a militant tone, "I am sending you to your father," some times after having spoken negatively about his father all these years - a formula for disaster also.

How do we prepare our young men for success without emasculating them? Teach them survival skills so they will not depend on a woman or be desperate to find a woman to fill the place of mama? When should you stop breast feeding your son, allowing him to sleep in the bed with you, or allowing him to see you in the nude? When do you or should you teach him to cook, dance, hem his pants, wash and shop for his clothes?

Have a single mother, mother with a step father and mother with the birth father; also have a single father raising his son, father/exhusband without his son and a 30 year old raised by his mom on the show to discuss.

In this episode of Positive Radio Network, Mathew and Aaron are joined by Charles Stephens of The Counter Narrative Project, a young black gay men's advocacy group, and Tabias Wilson, a law student at Howard University, to discuss the case of Michael "Tiger Mandingo" Johnson. Johnson was a college wreslter when he was accused of HIV exposure and nondisclosure after sleeping with several white men at his college. HOW TO LOVE A BLACK MAN —
    Part 1 (Dr. Jamal Bryant)
Four C’s On How to Love a Black Man.
    1.Cheerleader.
Every woman involved with a black man has to learn how to be a cheerleader. A cheerleader is of no consequence when the team is winning. When the team has scored a touch down, you can’t hear the cheerleaders because the whole stadium is ecstatic and excited. Cheerleaders are necessary after a tackle,a hit or an injury.Every black man yearns to have some body on the sidelines who will cheer for him when he’s not making progress.

quality of life. Most heterosexual men only use shampoo, while most women
who take care of their hair use shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is incomplete by itself. The conditioner is the sealant. Women need to understand that they are incomplete without men, and vice versa. When we connect, we seal and complement each other. The conditioner does several things

Dating Woos - Could Interracial Dating be the Answer?

    in Music

Tonight the show will focus on interracial dating from the female perspective. We all know that there are more women on the planet than there are men. Hopefully, we have accepted the fact and have learned to operate successfully with this knowledge. There are some of us who will try and try again until we meet the African America Mandingo man. Others might be so scared from the negative choices that we have made so we decide that someone who does not look like us is the answer: Interracial dating.

It could be the answer for many of us. However there are some assessments that one should consider before delving into interracial dating. The major assessment is how have I contributed to my negative or unsuccessful dating/relationship experience? It could be that we wanted or subconsciously needed a father figure.

Whatever the reason is, it is important for us as powerful, thoughtful and purposeful women to take some ownership in not selecting the right mate. Sometimes there are not red flags or is love blinding to red flags?

During this show we will even consider the cultural issue of African and African American dating. When we discuss culture, we are really opening Pandora’s Box, since there are many factors to intercultural.

Join your host, Brenda BMichelle Tillman. My desire through this radio outreach is to build healthy and happy relationships in our community.  (Truthfully, I am for the community of humans then race would not matter; yet, culture would. Culture determines the why and how we do what we do.) Professor D will join as also. Men are always welcome to provide the male preservative. We always need balance.

Join us tonight, Sundays at 9pm – 10pm 661-467-2407 on the Caribbean Radio show dot com.
