    THE GOOD NURSE-Charles Graeber

    in Entertainment

After his December 2003 arrest, registered nurse Charlie Cullen was quickly dubbed "The Angel of Death" by the media. But Cullen was no mercy killer, nor was he a simple monster. He was a favorite son, husband, beloved father, best friend, and celebrated caregiver. Implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients, he was also perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history.

Cullen's murderous career in the world's most trusted profession spanned sixteen years and nine hospitals across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. When, in March of 2006, Charles Cullen was marched from his final sentencing in an Allentown, Pennsylvania, courthouse into a waiting police van, it seemed certain that the chilling secrets of his life, career, and capture would disappear with him. Now, in a riveting piece of investigative journalism nearly ten years in the making, journalist Charles Graeber presents the whole story for the first time. Based on hundreds of pages of previously unseen police records, interviews, wire-tap recordings and videotapes, as well as exclusive jailhouse conversations with Cullen himself and the confidential informant who helped bring him down, THE GOOD NURSE weaves an urgent, terrifying tale of murder, friendship, and betrayal. Were it not for the hardboiled, unrelenting work of two former Newark homicide detectives racing to put together the pieces of Cullen's professional past, and a fellow nurse willing to put everything at risk, including her job and the safety of her children, there's no telling how many more lives could have been lost. THE GOOD NURSE-A True Story of Medicine, Madness and Murder-Charles Graeber

MMSRS #27 - Live from Military.com's Spouse Experience in San Antonio!

    in Military

Come join host Dave Etter by calling (516) 453-9167 - I'll have the show on loudspeakers! It'll be great! The show will mirror alot of the event content, so, we will talk about surviving deployment souse issues like keeping the long distance romance alive, planning and keeping a deployment budget, what kind of friends to make/keep/avoid, how to stay married (no cheating), how to learn from the deployment and prepare for the next - or plan for seperation from the military. All things every inquiring spouse should know! BTW, this show will be toned down language-wise to support the onsite live nature of the event, ok, guys? Keep it "G" rated!

MMSRS is a weekly 2-hour web-based radio show, hosted by Army spouse Dave Etter, focusing on the needs of men married to serving military members, both men and women. Male Military Spouses are a small niche of military spouses, comprising of only 7%-8% of all military spouses. We feel left out, usually, at support functions - especially those designed with the spouses being identified as "wives"! We get cajoled at playgrounds where our kids play, from the mommies there who think we don't belong. We are proud SAHDs, who gave up our careers to follow our spouses as they dedicate thier lives to defend our country! Here, on this show, we come together and share beer recipes, diaper changing techniques, financial discoveries - manly things, for men! Airs Fridays at Noon CT, rated R for the cussing that can occur, and available for download (podcast) immediately following each show.

Comedian L A Knight-Dog Training the American Male with Scott Cluthe

    in Books

Scott Cluthe shares the mic with L A Kight 2 Nite-Comedian and author of the book-Dog Training the American male. Scott will discuss what L A might be reaching for with the book and LA will roll over so he can be scratched on his .......tummie !  Call in: 347-308-8478. ( L A Knight is NOT his real name...L.A. Knight is the pseudonym/alter ego of NY.Times and international best-selling author Steve Alten(MEG, The OMEGA PROJECT, The LOCH, DOMAIN, THE SHELL GAME, GOLIATH & GRIM REAPER).

.A. Knight was the only male born from a litter of four. He managed to escape from several disobedient schools and a failed mating in Philadelphia before trekking to South Florida where he crossbred with a divorced Doberman and sired two pups of his own. He embarked on a writing career at age five. DOG TRAINING THE AMERICAN MALE is his first book.
    Actually. . .

L.A. Knight is the pseudonym/alter ego of NY.Times and international best-selling author Steve Alten(MEG, The OMEGA PROJECT, The LOCH, DOMAIN, THE SHELL GAME, GOLIATH & GRIM REAPER).

From the REAL author…DOG TRAINING THE AMERICAN MALE is the first of a series of novels in which I hope to launch a comedic trek. If you were expecting a romance novel, then you’re humping the wrong leg. Dog Training the American Male (loosely based on actual events and experiences) is more Wedding Crashers than Chick-lit and if you find yourself relating to any of these bizarre characters then I’m guessing you’re either married, own a dog, live in Boca Raton, or use Shades of Gray as a coffee table book. If it generates a laugh then you possess a superior intellect and I’ve done my job.

Black Thoughts And Theory:The Radio Show - The Emasculation of the Black Male

    in Culture

THEY ACTUALLY LET US BACK ON THE AIR ... SO GET READY FOR ANOTHER BARN-BURNER!

BLACK THOUGHTS AND THEORY:THE RADIO SHOW CONTINUES ...

Thursday's Topic: The Systematic Emasculation of the Black Male and the Intentional Decimation of the Black Family.

This week Joseph Whitfield , Runningcowboys Futureattorney , and Alex Primo (Lex Primeone) will be tackling a subject that most of us don't really deal with too well. We will be examining, dissecting, and debating the systematic emasculation of the Black male in modern society and its devastatingly negative side-effects on the Black family dynamic.

We will explore the current pattern of dismantling the strong male archetype and the love affair society seems to be having with dressing our young men in fashions that appear to come straight out of a women's workout catalog.

We will also look at the pattern of silence. Men that don't have the courage or the voice to speak up in defense of righteousness or against injustice.

So call (917)889-2830 between 9-11 pm EST to join the debate and be a part of the solution.

And remember keep it clean and keep it on point. ?#‎One?
