We are living in a society where it seems more and more people are dating multiple people and get stuck right there; are we dating with a purpose of committment waiting for the right person to come along, waiting until the finances are right or simply operating in fear with excuses of why we haven't found the right person yet?
I hear the stories just as much as I'm sure you have. The truth be told, people suffer from the following: the fear of the other person leaving; the fear of not being good enough; the fear of possible hidden sexuality; the fear of failure. Aren't you ready to let go of that and operate in a love? Understand that with any relationship, it becomes a faith walk....the question is is how much faith do you have to go through the journey and if the relationship is built on the right foundation, it is a good chance it will work!
Enough is enough I say! No more second guessing, be honest and true. Aren't you tired? After all, a relationship is really an extension of you and the other person, make sure to walk finely.
Tonight, we'll discuss the common fears and how you can deal with those fears and walk in love for the other person and truth. Can you imagine....if you are awesome, look at all the awesomeness of two!! WOW! What a WORLD!

Male Caregivers & Discrimination in the Workplace

There is a growing number of male caregivers to small children or aging parents in our society. Male caregivers now comprise 45% of all family caregivers in the nation.
The average male caregiver is 49 years old. He works at a full time job though, and is usually caring for an aging parent ( usually his mom- average age of 77). The average source of the caring in this situation is alzheimers or dementia.
It can be attributed to a number of different things though, including divorce, more female primary breadwinners in the family and more openly gay men.

We've seen the news, heard the lyrics in songs and can only imagine what the parents of Trayvon Martin are going through at this very moment. We have to become more conscious of how the music industry, news and silver screen help to reduce the value of the lives of our young black men.
In my discussion with black men, I've come to the realization that they deal with so much so where do they go to talk, to become vulnerable and to be given the respect of manhood. Where do we go from here in the uplifting of our men, the education of a younger generation and standing up for what's right?
Q: Does the dominant, very consistent negative portrayal of the black male contribute to the way our culture is perceived by others as well as we see ourselves?
Q: Do these images that incite fear, hatred and anger serve to further endanger our youth?
Q: Does the aspect of your child "fitting the description" give an armed individual (that is not a law enforcement officer) the authority to stalk, interrogate or detain your child?
