Soul and R&B singer Noel Gourdin emerged on the music scene with his number one hit song “The River” which stayed on the Urban AC charts at number one for 15 weeks! Noel’s childhood was not a traditional one; he was born in Brockton, MA but spent his summers with family in Pachuta, Mississippi. The result is a man who is city to the heart but southern to the soul! Noel scored a deal with Sony Music at age 24, but his first exposure to the vocal arts came in church and he was introduced to the larger audience of soul music by his father (who introduced him to the classics, such as Otis Redding) and his brother (who turned him on to the sounds of new jack swing). Noel is influenced by classic soul as well as the contemporary sounds of R&B and hip-hop. Noel says "I grew up on music that had meaning that my father had me listening to. I just want to be a positive black role model as well as a role model for anyone, regardless of their ethnic background as my music transcends across all color lines. "It’s really important for me to be respectful and have music that can speak to the masses, from a two year old to your Great GrandMAMA! Musical integrity is extremely important to me, for when I leave the industry, my musical legacy is what I want to be remembered for..... timeless, real and soulful music.” Call in and talk to him on Wednesday December 9 at 8:30pm 646-929-1325

@MyRealTalkRadio interviews R&B Singer/Songwriter: @NOELGOURDIN
Originally from the South -- Mississippi, to be exact -- soul and R&B singer Noel Gourdin honed his skills in Brockton, MA, and by the age of 24 scored a deal with Sony and had his first album in stores. His first exposure to the vocal arts came in church, and he was introduced to the larger canon of soul music by his father (who introduced him to the classics, such as Otis Redding) and his brother (who turned him on to the sounds of new jack swing). As a high-school student in the Boston-neighboring Brockton, Gourdin performed in talent shows and did work (and shows) for the Boys and Girls Club. With his work as a performer and role model to draw from, Gourdin signed a management deal with Stalin Entertainment in 2002. A 2004 request by Kay Gee to have Gourdin contribute a track to the soundtrack of The Cookout (the song "Family Reunion" was Gourdin's contribution) led to Gourdin exploring new musical territory, which would result in a large portfolio of songs ready to go. A meeting with Sony Urban in 2005 led to a summer showcase, which in turn led to a deal for the singer to start recording for the label. His debut, After My Time, was released in 2008.

For those that know me, you know our motto is "Spiritual Enlightenment Through Sled Dogs." This is the basis for why Stormhawk Siberians do what we do. Although I freely speak of this, within many First Nations people who utilize sled dogs, it is NOT. Permission from the Elders must be sought, messages from Great Father and Ancestors must be delivered before these Sacred things can be spoken of to those non First Nations peoples.
So given this, it is my supreme honor that Marvin Noel Lizotte from Ecotourism Adventures has been given the go-ahead to speak with us on these most Sacred of topics: First Nations Spirituality with sled dogs.
Now, I know that the vast majority of you that listen in already know mushing. But this is a singular opportunity to know how this lifestyle we adore formed 1000's of years ago, and was then graciously passed though the generations, and to us today. As we all know, these sled dogs hold Magic in their Souls, and Marvin is going to tell us how that came to be.
No matter your level of skill with mushing, THIS is going to be a show to listen to. The early hour is of course so Marvin can speak with us, and then get on to the day's business with the dogs. Have a look at what he does at www.dogsledtour.ca on the web, and then join us early for the show, or listen on demand at your convenience thereafter!
The FBI processed a record number of firearms-related background checks last year, indicating that more guns were sold in 2015 than in any previous year in American history. More than 23 million checks were processed through the National Instant Background Check System in 2015, an all-time record. The all-time record for yearly sales comes after May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December 2015 each set sales records for their respective months. In December the FBI conducted 3,314,594 checks, an increase of more than half a million checks over the previous single-month record set in December 2012. What do all these numbers mean? Noel Flasterstein is a Second Amendment and Gun Rights Law Attorney dedicated to Protecting and Preserving our Constitutional Rights. He can use his expertise todiscuss all the issues surrounding guns and how our awareness can be the key to protection.
