“It’s all about making music that people can listen to in their everyday life, from riding through the hood on a sunny day, top back, windows down banging beats or getting ready for worship on Sunday morning. We must meet people where they are with that same message.” says De’Leon.
ALL THINGS ARE READY NOW.... after many years of serving in the background for many in different genres such as Ricky Dillard, Dewayne Woods, Vashawn Mitchell, Shirley Caesar, Byron Cage, Dorothy Norwood, Velmer Watkins to hip hop artist like Dungeon Family and pop icon Celine Dion...It’s time for De’leon to step forward and bless the world with what has been dubbed “Life Music”.
De’Leon is currently working on his Debut project aptly entitled ***BALANCE*** (Release date Fall 2015) with a single scheduled for release Summer 2014 with production credits from Will Pierre, Travis Malloy, and others.
Born in Memphis, TN, and raised in Atlanta, GA De’leon is the son of a Preacher Woman and public school educator who instilled faith and education as a priority over everything else. When he was 10yrs old, Ricky Dillard, Hez Walker, and O’Landa Draper came to his church and De’Leon was sold, he knew immediately he wanted to sing in the choir. At an early age De’Leon was singing in the youth choir at his church but quickly was elevated to sing in the adult choir. Not only was he the youngest person to sing in the 100-voice choir but by age 13, he was directing and teaching.
Out of Ontario, Canada comes the MacKenzie Blues Band. Consisting of classically trained vocalist, Tara MacKenzie, guitarist Trevor MacKenzie, bassist Joel Dawson & drummer Mike Weir, they have just released their sophomore album Slam! Bam!, containing 12 originals. The band has traveled to Memphis for the IBC twice and we will discuss their careers and their music.
Generation Blues Experience is the joining of 14-year old Ray Goren, who has played guitar at the Chicago Blues Festival and with Buddy Guy and more. he was introduced to 80-year old bluesman, Jamie Bluesboy Powell and septuangenerian harpist Sammy Lee. The three were introduced a few years agao and their musical talents meshed, and Generation Blues Band was formed. We'll talk about how their music bridges the generational gap and where they hope to go in the near future.
Bob Corritore needs no introduction. Maybe an explanation as to why it has taken so long to bring Bob on the show; well I interviewed him for American Blues News a number of years ago, he has visited during my IBC shows and somehow,my brain turned that into him having appeared on a Monday show! When I realized my mistake, I reached out and Bob accepted. We'll look at how it all began some 40 years ago and then also chat with Bob about his take on the Blues World today as compared to when he was sharing the stage with the many legends who are no longer with us. We'll share some of the mus from Bob's latest, Taboo.
Finally, Sena Ehrhardt returns for COUCH KID NEW MUSIC for her new album, Live My Life. Sena originally sat on The Couch back in May 2013, so we will find out what the last year has brought to this wonderful artist.

Oct 1st-7th is National Trichotillomania Awareness week.
As most of you already know I've had this disorder for the last 16 years of my life. For many who have Trich it's a source of shame, embarrassment, and self loathing. It's something so many of us should be able to understand yet the victims are terrified to come clean, proclaiming themselves as freaks...We need this to stop.
Beauty doesn't come from eyelashes, hair, your weight, or what clothes you wear. Beauty comes from your struggles, your passions, yourself.
I'd like to challenge everyone to open up and share your deepest secret with just one person. We are never going to stop judging people if we can't learn to stop judging ourselves. Peace. ~MacKenzie Joy
What is Trich?
How to handled it at school? Is it something I should hide?
When to tell someone?
How do others react?
Is there treatment?
How will this affect my future?

Today is the kick-off event for Chad Carr. I am asking believers to unite for 3 days & 3 nights for Chad Carr by fasting, praying, & taking action. Join the "Pray on the Hour Campagin" by praying Chad's intercessory prayer @ www.ManifestTheTruth.com or include the following sentences in your prayers, “Father, I stand in agreement with all Godly prayer requests that are being prayed to you, today, & that the three crucial events; the Start of the International Spiritual Awakening & Revival, Laws are Ratified & Reform Occurs for America not Keeping Her Promise to Liberate the Descendants of Slaves Forever as stated in the Emancipation Proclamation & Justice & Freedom for the “Secret” Lifetime, Generational Involuntary or Unwitting Human Subjects in America & International will occur now in Yeshua’s name. I rebuke, bind, cancel, & destroy by fire all ungodly prayer requests now in Yeshua’s name." The enemy does not want this MIRACLE to happen, but let's show the enemy that it is not what he wants, but what God and his mother wants when she made the request. I responded to her request. Will you? Here's the link to her story http://www.foxnews.com/health/2014/09/27/michigan-mom-turns-to-prayer-and-social-media-for-miracle-to-save-her-son On the 9/26/14 show, we taught kids about forgiveness & prayed the Aaronic's blessing at Numbers 6:24-26 over the children. We also asked the parents/guardians to start praying it over their child/children. Gospel legends Fred Hammond & Pastor Donnie McClurkin started shifting the atmosphere with their Festival of Praise Tour. Visit www.FestivalofPraiseTour.com for dates.

Today on Voices of Global Freedom we are interviewing Ian Mackenzie a well known film maker! We must love our own aliveness so deeply, that we reject any further participation in a system that does not honour the gifts with which we have been bestowed. We must love the world so deeply that we have no choice but to bow in service to the beauty that is waiting for us, patiently, to re-member. My short film, in collaboration with Charles Eisenstein and his book of the same name, was recently featured in the massively popular site Upworthy. Part of their appeal is the enticing titles they use to refurbish great videos/articles they find on the web. Here's what they wrote about my film: Thank you for joining me on this journey.
