    The Kindness Show

    in Spirituality

Have you ever thought about what it means to be a kind person? According to a google web search, the definition of ‘kindness’ is: ‘the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate’. How often do you think about kindness in your everyday life? Once a day, twice a day, monthly, once a year when Christmas and the holidays roll around? The reason today’s show is all about kindness is because I noticed an unsettling trend of selfishness on the rise as well as threats to America, what with the ISIS threat to bomb the people of NYC Times Square just yesterday. This brings this topic to the forefront of today’s society, because if we are unwilling to be kind to one another now, what will we do when a terrorist threat becomes all too real? We don’t want mass panic in the streets or the rise of the rich over the poor, we want equality among all men and kindness truly is a virtue in this case. When you act with kindness towards your fellow men, you create a community of mutual benefactors since it takes all kinds of people working together to get things done. The example or metaphor I use to give myself love in order to give love to another is the 'desert island' example: Imagine if you were a nurse on a desert island and everyone was dying of thirst, including yourself. To whom would you give the water to and why? This is what we will be discussing on today's  show so I hope you tune in!

Animal Communicator Tim Link Joins Kate Loving

    in Spirituality

Animal lovers often wonder what their pet’s meow, bark, tweet, or stare means. Why the incessant meowing after Kitty has been fed, petted, and played with? Why is Fido barking up a storm or digging in the yard as if his life depended on it? Pet owners want to know, and Tim Link, an expert animal communicator, teaches readers how to find out. The author was initially surprised to find himself being able to communicate with animals of all types. Because Link was caught off guard by his own gift, he is adept at helping readers first hone their communication skills, using the spoken and the visual, and then focus on particular behaviors. Unlike most training methods, Link’s approach respects the individual personality and feelings of animals. His methods, simple and accessible to all, facilitate the understanding that all animal lovers crave.

Serena Dyer Shares Her Collective Wisdom w Kate Loving

    in Spirituality

Serena Dyer is the sixth of Wayne and Marcelene Dyer's eight children. In 2001, Dr. Wayne Dyer wrote a book called 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace, based on the most important principles he wanted his children to live by. Serena contemplated these ideas throughout her life. “Don’t die with your music still in you” has been the most important principle for Serena: to her, it means that you don’t allow yourself to live any life other than the one you were born to live. In this book, Serena sets out to explain what it was like to grow up with spiritual parents. She touches upon all ten of her dad’s original secrets, imparting her own experiences with them and detailing how they have affected the way she approaches various situations in life. She shares stories, struggles, and triumphs—and Wayne, in turn, contributes his own perspective. This unique father-daughter collaboration will warm the hearts of all parents . . . and inspire anyone who is looking to find the “music” inside themselves.

Terese Rolke & the Dance for Kindness in Red Bank

    in Radio

Terese Rolke knows a thing or two about kindness. In fact she’s a Group Leader and Kindness Ambassador for Life Vest Inside, which is an organization devoted to promoting worldwide kindness. The mission of Life Vest Inside is: To EMPOWER and UNITE the world with KINDNESS. Life Vest Inside equips people worldwide with the necessary tools to recognize their own potential to become a catalyst for positive change in the world. We transform inspiration into action through inspirational media, technology, education, and on-the-ground social engagement. I had the honor of interviewing Orly Wahba, the Founder and CEO and you can listen to that here. World Kindness Day is Nov 13, and to kick it off Life Vest Inside features their Worldwide Dance for Kindness. Locally, this occurred Nov 8 on Broad Street in the heart of downtown Red Bank with approximately 150 people who participated in this choreographed dance which included an original song written especially for the event. Terese’s group was one of 100 locations spanning 50 countries, dancing the same dance to the same song on the same day. Cool, right? Why care about kindness? Treating people with kindness is the right thing to do. Besides that, there’s science behind acts of kindness. Like most medical antidepressants, kindness stimulates the production of serotonin which heals your wounds, calms you down, and makes you happy! After the interview, check out After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.
