The record breaking third appearance of Lovebettie on Indie on Air! This Abolitionist Tour artist is poised to break out nationally!
Making their first steps onto the scene in early 2005, Lovebettie began as a songwriting duo of founding members Alexandra Naples and C.T. Fields. Influenced by everything from the grandeur of modern rock, to the swagger of late 1920’s Jazz, they created a powerful and compelling sound of pop and rock charged with feverish rhythms, emotive lyrics, and a sultry blues-drenched fusion. Solidifying this sound are the added talents of Dan Mulkeen (graduate of The Players School of Music, Clearwater Fl.) and Larry Shotter (well noted Pittsburgh session drummer).
Since this time, Lovebettie's persistent drive and tireless work ethic has helped them evolve from a local favorite to a regional success. They have relentlessly toured from New York to Chicago and all the way down the east coast. They have shared the stage with multitudes of national acts including: Lifehouse, Semi Precious Weapons, Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), Guster, Bowling for Soup, Rusted Root, and many more. In 2010 they were invited to perform The Lady Gaga Afterparty for her Monsters Ball Tour. The same year, they also released two music videos for airing consideration on MTV, VH1, and Fuse. In the previous years, they won The Hardrock Cafe and 105.9 The X's Winter Rock Showcase, as well as accolades in several other contests including Van's Warped Tour Top 10 Bands of 2008 In 2011, Lovebettie will be releasing their new EP, engineered and produced by Major Label Producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Hoobastank, Trapt) and taking part in a full US tour to the SXSW Festival in Austin Texas in March 2011.
