Singer/songwriter Mama Gina joins KaliSara and RevKess for another visit. With the upcoming release of her fourth album in less than four years, Gina is bringing us and the listener some of her love!
Mama Gina's new CD is collection of unique love songs with a twist. From her IndieGoGo page: Hello! I am Mama Gina, Fearless Bard and Folk Artist. I travel with an acoustic 12 string guitar, djembe and frame drum, sharing my Muse and all original music at festivals, book stores and shops, and living rooms all over the US. Last year, a friend commented, "Oh, you don't really write love songs, do you?" I took that as a challenge, and looked and listened for love stories that needed to be told. My new CD project "I Remember Love" has 10 stripped down, raw, acoustic songs about love - and it's all love. A song for handfasting, the story of my love affair with Kali, a tale of soul mates, a chant reminding us that we are worthy of love, and more. [...] I do what I love, and I love what I do. Do what YOU love, and love what YOU do. That is the message that I hope to convey with this new CD. I don't do any of this alone. Let's make this happen together.
Tune in to this live interview to get some sneak peeks at some of her newest music as well as learn how you can help be a part of making this CD come to life!
This being Thanksgiving week we will be talking about songs of thanks and graditude. Almost every major artist has one. From Led Zepplin to Mary J. Blige, from ZZ top to Carrie Underwood, from Louis Armstrong to Jay-Z all of these artists express their tnaks through song. Many of the songs are just titled "Thank You". Thank you for my fans, for my family, for my wife , for kids , for the world we live in.
Writing a love song should be easy, right? As Cole Porter wrote in 1928, "Birds do, bees do it, even educated fleas do it.…" But while we’re the first to admit that falling in love can be as easy as falling off a log, the business of writing a love song—one that’s not cheesy or obvious— is a challenge that the greatest songwriters have wrestled with since the first caveman grunted a serenade to his beloved. After painstaking research and several rock fights, Time Out has arrived at what we believe to be the 50 best love songs ever recorded. Expect to sniff along to the all-time classics (yes, you can tell Mom that Al Green is in there), get down like you’re at a wedding disco with some of the smoochiest party songs ever recorded (thank you, Madonna!), and feel a smile spread across your face when you hit the number one spot and think of your own number one sweetie—whether they know it yet or not. Bring on the love songs!
Fresh off an amazing weekend in Charlotte, we are excited to share with you the conclusion of our relationship series. Love Sex & Magic.
We've touched on building a personal relationship with ourselves & Creator. We've talked about the joys and challenges we have experienced with relationships between family and friends and we've discussed the intricacies of intimate relationships.
At the Love Sex & Relationships Seminar Master & Acharya did a wonderful job of opening our eyes to the magic and beauty as well as responsibility that comes along with intimate relationships and relationships amongst family. These relationships are catalysts for our growth and often shine light on the aspects of ourselves that we'd like to keep hidden.
The Tybro family has truly formed a bond that extends beyond this world. We see the divinity that is within each of us and we are charged by pushing ourselves beyond our limits with love and humility.
We look forward to sharing with you, this Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 11 am Eastern, the love and some of the experiences we shared.
We love you. Talk to you soon. In the Spirit of Love
