Louis G. Mendoza, Ph.D.
Louis is originally from Houston, Texas. He received his Ph.D. in English with a concentration in Ethnic and Third World Literatures from the University of Texas at Austin. Before coming to the University of Minnesota to chair the Department of Chicano Studies in 2004, Louis taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio where he was an associate dean in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts and Interim Director of the Hispanic Research Center. His research interests include Chicana/o Literary and Cultural studies, U.S. immigration literature, prison literature, and oral histories. Louis recently published two books with the University of Texas Press related to his 2007 Journey Across Our America research project on U.S. Latina/o communities that he conducted while bicycling around the perimeter of the country. In addition to his department duties, Louis Mendoza is also an Associate Vice Provost in the Office for Equity and Diversity. "Conversations Across Our America: Talking About Immigration and the Latinoization of the U.S.", Mendoza, Louis, University of Texas Press, Author, Spring 2012. In the summer of 2007, Louis G. Mendoza set off on a bicycle trip across the United States with the intention of conducting a series of interviews along the way.

Grantham Taylor Hughes Show
Each week, Dr. Lord Grantham Taylor Hughes J.d. L.c.m.D., Ph.D, Baron von Bauer-Rothschild, explores the general tenor of world politics by way of the 1930 Geneva Convention. Dr. Hughes claims that one's view should start from that time in order to better understand the present political-economics today. Also, being a trust foundation expert for many years, he explains valuable insight into what is known as "The Fidelity Ceremony." That important occurance derives all contract provision and laws in our world. Dr. Hughes or Grantham brings a refreshinng and cogent view of getting to "the cores of these matters" as he says so poignantly.
His guest host each week is the lovely Grabiella Foster who is a former journalist and editor with several Fortune 500 companies in California's "Silicon Valley." These two combine with a pithy always glib and sometimes humourous presentation of some very important facts in the world today. With over 400 articles in print, her works have appeared in anthologies and genre magazines in Canada and the US, was shortlisted for the CBC National Literary Awards, and hosts a monthly author-readings series in partnership with city libraries.
