The Great Danger Of Looking Back

    in Christianity

Perhaps today you can think of a time in your past that was good, or a time in your past that was not so good. In fact there are some memories we would rather forget about. Then there are those times where we are greatly tempted to either reflect upon, contemplate or carry out a certain desire or habit that we know is not  healthy for us, but its always a strong temptation for something we should not have or take part in. So how can we shake off the old self and put on the new self? How can we fully live a life of freedom which God has given us to enjoy? Truth is, we need to be saved from ourselves everyday from those chains of lustful thought patterns, old sinful life styles and habits that don't fit who we are....We need to be reminded that theres nothing that can replace the abundant life that God offers, not even those fleeting pleasures that leaves us feeling empty.........that's the great danger of looking back.

Looking in the Rear View Mirror

    in Self Help

It is widely said that "looking in the rear view mirror" of your life is not a good thing.  It is also said that to move forward you have to avoid looking at what's behind you and only look at what's in front of you.  However, this saying has a two-edged sword because though it is not good to look back when you are trying to go forward it is as equally bad to not look back to evaluate, conduct an inventory and even sometimes celebrate things in the rear of your life.  Today, we will look and explore the benefits of "looking in the rear view mirror' determining those things that can be used, things that can be stored until needed or some things that just need to be disgarded all together.  Wherever you may find yourself today you will discover that everything in the rear view has front seat your life whether you are willing to see it or not..

    MMSRS #24 - Looking Back 2014, Looking Ahead 2015

    in Military

Join host Dave Etter live as we look back at the accomplishments Male MilSpouses have achieved, and at the road ahead for us. As usual, this topic is NOT hard and fast, you can talk (or rant) about anything you wish!

Male Military Spouse Radio Show is a weekly 2-hour web-based radio show, hosted by Dave Etter, focusing on the needs of men married to serving military members, both men and women. Male Military Spouses are a small niche of military spouses, comprising of only 7%-8% of all military spouses. We feel left out, usually, at support functions - especially those designed with the spouses being identified as "wives"! We get cajoled at playgrounds where our kids play, from the mommies there who think we don't belong. We are proud SAHDs, who gave up our careers to follow our spouses as they dedicate thier lives to defend our country! Here, on this show, we come together and share beer recipes, diaper changing techniques, financial discoveries - manly things, for men! Airs Fridays at Noon CT, rated R for the cussing that can occur, and available for download (podcast) immediately following each show.

She has a degree in History of Art with Material Studies and a Masters from The Royal College of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum. Branch is an accredited member of the Institute of Conservation. About the book:

Abigail Argent stands out. Some people notice that she always wears gloves and shudder when they know why. The ones who know her best notice her ability with metal. Abigail's particular talent lies in the colouring of alloys, for seeing the beauty in a plain piece of metal and being able to draw it out. Her study leads her to discover a connection between her own craft and that of her favourite childhood myth: changing lead into gold. Moving to Venice, Abigail continues to uncover more about the history of her trade while making friends, and a lover, whose lives become inextricably linked with her own. But her abilities soon peak the interests of a powerful group, determined to guard the secret that she may unwittingly expose. Delving into the deepest secrets of ancient Italy, Abigail's story will take everything you think you know about alchemy and turn it on its head.
