The Most Segregated and loneliest Hour in America “Sunday”

    in Politics Conservative

Martin Luther King Jr. once said 11 a.m. Sunday is the most segregated hour in America. Now, years after King's murder, only 7 percent of America's churches are considered racially mixed.

We’ve heard this observation for years…WHY is Sunday Morning the most segregated day of the week? I’d like to extend the observation and mention that not only is it the most segregated day of the week, but it’s one of the most divided concepts among a people that should be the most progressively united… With diversity being an initiative in the workplace, in politics, in media and entertainment, how does the church being segregated translate unification in our society? What does this say about the church claiming One God, One Faith, and One Baptism? Why we are STILL Not United as One

    Loneliest day

After all, Sunday is supposed to be a family day, a day of joy.

Though I loved Jesus, I still often felt very alone, surrounded on all sides by other couples and families. Sunday is supposed to be a family day, but I felt like the only person who didn’t have one.

I knew I would get married someday, but at the time, I wasn’t married, wasn’t engaged, and wasn’t even dating anyone. It was just me, and I felt the weight of that.

When One is NOT the Loneliest Number

    in Spirituality

With the passing of every second we realize that we are living in an evolving changing world.  Nothing seems to be what it used to be, including ourselves.  There is more and more talk about things like ascension symptoms and celestial waves of energy raining down on us with little explanation for why our joints are aching, blurry vision, too much sleep or too little sleep and migraines have become a daily struggle.

We are beginning to feel others pain, we're horrified when an animal is killed or abused, and we look to the stars more and feel a deep longing to reveal the connection of the universe. We are beginning to long for and understand Unity--the connection to all things around us and in our world.

Melody and Robyn will share their ideas and experiences, as they talk about how "The Power of Oneness", is connecting us in today's world.

Please join us as we explore the concepts of being one with all things and the power of now.

Maya Claridge discusses Bullied to Bold national movement

    in Lifestyle

Bullied for two years in middle school, Maya Claridge says it was the darkest and loneliest time of her life."I don't want people to feel alone, like I did."Which is why Claridge, now a freshman in high school, has joined with her management team and publicist to embark on the Bullied to Bold outreach tour, speaking in middle school and high school classrooms and assemblies throughout Colorado.

In sharing her personal experience with bullying, from name-calling to rumor spreading to exclusion and cyber-bullying, Claridge hopes to empower kids to rise above hurtful words, to find the strength to battle against self-hatred, to overcome fear, loneliness and humiliation, to know that they are not alone and to learn to love themselves."I like who I am now and I want others to like who they are, too."

Claridge's positive message of hope encourages kids to both ask for help and to offer help, all the while inspiring them toward strength and perseverance.  "When you stop giving other people the power to hurt you, you grow stronger and they grow weaker."It isn't that Claridge's experience with bullying is necessarily worse than others that makes her message so powerful, but rather that it is similar to what thousands of kids are experiencing on a daily basis in our schools and on-line.

They are able to relate to her and connect with her, thus she can reach them on their level and help them realize that there is hope.

    1. What prompted you to write the song?

    2. Let's talk about the root of bullying? From the You Tube, we found people who..

envy others, secretly harbor ill will, exclude others, gossip, and seek to harm.

How do we apply the two word sermon...STOP IT!! ?

    3. What's your final advice today to move from "bullied to bold"?

Foug Crew - " One " Is Not The Loneliest Number!

    in Spirituality

Is having that time alone with God,one of the most important aspects of our Christian walk? Is that quiet time one area that is most neglected? Is it that we just draw near to God with only our words but not our hearts? It has been said by George C. Clark that " Everyone used of God is forced to stand alone and to bear persecution. All who are determined to obey God and to come to a complete understanding of His words are, at times, compelled to travel alone, finding their greatest help in the solitude of God's presence. " Christians have often used the phrase of , " I am a follower of Jesus Christ ", but are they travelers with Him as well? When we experience pain ,struggle, and despair, we feel so terribly alone. Friends, family and sometimes our Church family may offer comfort and help, but despite their best efforts the ache of abandonment and that forsaken feeling is overwhelming. Yet in the core of that aloneness, there lives a hidden presence, a holy presence that has promised to never leave us or forsake us. Once we have Jesus in our hearts, we always have His company and love. Some of us know the pain of  betrayed friendships or sibling shunning, the loss of loved ones, or the heartache of being misunderstood. How many of us have suffered the pangs of loneliness.?   Who did Jesus consistently go to especially in His greatest time of need in Gethsemane? Was it His beloved friends? Matthew 26:56 says , " All the disciples forsook him and fled. " Monday Night @ 9:00 - 10:30 PM on Foug Crew with hosts Bob and John Fougeray we discuss - " One " Is Not The Loneliest Number "! American Daily Review: Veterans Day & The Madness It Used To Transcend

    in Politics Conservative

Philae rides the comet; Catalonia refusing to go down with Spain's sinking economic ship; Would just smoking a cigarette when getting out of his limo have been less insulting to the ChiComms than Barack Obama blowing Nicorette bubbles?; Obama is many things, but a "lame duck" isn't one of them; Is Attorney-General nominee Loretta Lynch a "straight-shooter," and how can Senate Republicans stop her confirmation in the lame duck session?; Meanwhile, back in Beijing, Obama atones for his gum-chewing insult by surrendering what's left of the U.S. economy to the new #1 by selling out to the ChiComms on "climate change"; Obama vows to build a communications policy bridge back to the mid-twentieth century by nationalizing the Internet into the new Ma Bell; Meanwhile, in Syria, ISIS, al Qaeda, and the "Free Syrian Army" are now one, big, happy jihadist family; The 6-year Obama Depression has a quarter century left to go; Obama prepares to impose unratified UN gun treaty by Executive decree (or, "Let the gun confiscations begin!"); Democrats try to save Mary Landrieu with Keystone XL feint, but her GOP challenger, Bill Cassidy, beats them to the punch; Obama's Executive amnesty decree inbound and closing fast, necessitating a corresponding GOP red-alert response; The Gruber confession and the GOP's "Gruberization" offensive; The American Left, knowing that it has but a short time, rapidly gathers en masse for the final "fundamental transformation" push; and can Veterans Day really transcend all of the above

Interview With Alex Louise Dorer and Mini Krishnan

    in Environment

Alex Louise Dorer of Fins and Fluke and Mini Krishnan of Orca United will join me to talk about the upcoming Marineland Protest: Free Kiska on Saturday, May 31 at 11:00am at MarineLand Canada 7657 Portage Road, Niagara Falls, Ontario L2E 6X8.

Since the release of the documentary "Blackfish", there has been a huge momentum to help liberate captive orcas across the world from inadequate living conditions at marine parks. Kiska is the last captive orca in Canada, and has been named as the saddest and loneliest in the world. This event will highlight the issues of marine mammal captivity and will focus on calling for Kiska's release to a seapen or more suitable home with other orcas. It will be to draw in more support in closing down Marineland, and will follow a protest on May 17 to help to continue the pressure on the park. All are welcome to join!
