Real Life Real Faith welcomes Actor Tobie Famusipe

    in Self Help

    Tobie Famusipe

I am a first generation American-Nigerian. I speak multiple Nigerian dialects and multiple accents.

Born in Washington DC, I have lived equally in the US and Lagos Nigeria which has led to me having an interesting view and sense of humor about life.  I often feel like a man born of two different worlds because of the cultural differences. It’s a balancing act like no other, having to adapt to both cultures simultaneously which can be challenging, because although I have had the desire to entertain and act this profession is not something readily embraced in the Nigerian cultural because it’s not considered a professional line of work.  Nigerian parents command and I quote “READ YOUR BOOKS”, “GO TO COLLEGE” so that you can become a Doctor, Lawyer, or Engineer NOT Actor.

So I followed my parent’s instruction and migrated back to the United States to attend college at Seton Hall University where I majored in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Currently my day job is a Senior Business Systems Analyst. It is during my adult years I have been able resurrect my desire to be an entertainer and actor. I’ve always had a love for movies and with my family’s encouragement it ignited my creative juices which led to pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.  In 2011 I began taking acting and voice over training with The Actors Scene in Buford GA. My intuition regarding my acting ability became evident because in October 2014 I signed with an agent. Today I am proudly represented by TDH Talent Unlimited.

Some other interesting things about me:

My favorite past time is to spend time with my lovely wife and daughter watching our favorite movies.

  • Meet the Real Jesus.

    in Christianity

The Teaching Temple is here. Ever wonder why there are so many unchurched people in America, particularly among 18-29 year olds? The reason seems to be that people are disillusioned with what churches are teaching. Yet when Jesus walked the earth the multides followed him wherever he went -- they hung on his every word. They said "never a man spoke like this man -- he speaks with authority".  It was the content of his message. It was what he was saying that made the difference.  No blue smoke and mirrors, No horse and pony shows. No thousand voice choirs. It was his teaching.  Is it any wonder that he admonished is disciples that if they were truly his disciples they must hold to his teaching. Not him but his teaching.  Now suppose that what is being taught is not his teaching?  Might this explain why the Kingdom of God has not become a reality? Is it any wonder that the foundation of his teaching was that you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free? Do you have the courage to learn what he actually taught?  And if you do, do you have the courage to implement those teachings? Each day the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Each day the prisons are being filled with more and more of our young people -- and the beat goes on! The Gospel of the Kingdom of God was intended for the poor, the downtrodden, the outcasts.  Jesus didn't come to start a religion -- he already had a religion -- he came to start a revolution! Join us for lively discussion of what Jesus taught -- Join us at the Teaching Temple. Sundays at 7:00 pm est.   Join the Jesus Movement!

Dr. Shawn's The Collision of Faith and Politics! - 'The Real Deal with 'Merica!'

    in Politics Conservative

Today at 4pm EST I am going to tell you my take on what is going on with America...  The real unfiltered deal.  It is about time.

You've heard fluff from the American press and from pundits and talking heads for far too long...  Do you want to hear the truth?  Are you capable of handling the truth?  Truly, are you?

In America we have become desensitized...  to the Truth.

It is like a scab that must be pulled off so that it can heal...  The longer we wait, the worse the infection.

Scandals?  This administration has plenty...  Not small scandals, big ones... Scandals where people die, many innocent people.  Where many people suffer.  At the hands of this administration and under our Republicans in Congress and the American people's noses, we have been thrust into terrible things, and yet we are silent.

Isn't it time we were silent no more?

What is the Gospel of Jesus Christ Intro Part 1

    in Religion

    The Gospel Of The Kingdom,

and when I use that term I am not thinking particularly of any dispensational application, but of this blessed truth that it is only through believing the Gospel that men are born into the Kingdom of God; We sing: "A ruler once came to Jesus by night, To ask Him the way of salvation and light; The Master made answer in words true and plain, 'ye must be born again.' " But neither Nicodemus , nor you, nor I, could ever bring this about ourselves. We had nothing to with our first birth, and can have nothing to do with our second birth. It must be the work of God, and it is wrought through the Gospel. That is why the Gospel is called the Gospel of the Kingdom, for, "Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God" (John 3:3,7).
