We are excited to re-launch our show on October 2 with two guests, cancer survivors and authors Sue Bolich and Marina Fontaine, since our original guest Cindy Papale had to reschedule due to an unforeseen (and very positive!) development.
About Sue: S. A. Bolich's work has been published in in many fantasy and science fiction venues. As a fantasy writer, she brings a love of the natural world and a degree in history to her work, achieving gritty, realistic worlds with a sideways slant on reality. She is the author of The Masters of the Elements series that turns physical laws upside down and inside out and makes you cheerfully accept the oddities. She is also an accomplished horsewoman.
About Marina: An immigrant from the former Soviet Union, Marina is a proud American, busy wife and mom, and hard-working accountant. She's also an aspiring author and book addict who manages several online writing groups.
Both ladies will share their experiences with breast cancer. We welcome your calls at (347) 945-7246.

This week LLL welcomes the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, PA (DVCCC).
Domestic Violence Statistics:
Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten.
At least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime.
Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
Studies suggest that up to 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence annually.
Nearly 1 in 5 teenage girls who have been in a relationship said a boyfriend threatened violence or self-harm.
Everyday in the US, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends.
Between 55 and 95% of women who have been physically abused by their partners have never contacted non-governmental organizations, shelters, or the police for help.
Men who as children witnessed their parents’ domestic violence were twice as likely to abuse their own wives than sons of nonviolent parents.
The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County has been service our community since 1976. Since then, we have helped over 30,000 survivors of domestic violence. DVCCC is committed to empowering survivors of domestic abuse through information, and supporting them as they reclaim their lives.
Tune in LIVE Thursday, August 14th @ 6:30 pm to The Shut Up And Train Radio Show.
We will be having an amazing show, with forcible entry being the key topic. One of the first fireground functions is finding a way into the structure. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. This will be another multi-episode topic, and we are going to focus on many different ways to get inside quickly. This episode, we will be discussing some thru-the-lock maneuvers, and some tools that are used to obtain this objective. Join in, call us, and become involved in some of the knowledge and know-hows that are involved in this art of making entry. Grab a cold one, a stogie, and join us "Around The Kitchen Table".
Feel free to let us know how we're doing, and offer input to the topic! Help us make it feel like a firehouse, as we encourage our round table discussion and talk it out like Brothers/Sisters do!
