13 HOURS: THE TRUE BENGHAZI STORY WITH AUTHOR /JOURNALIST MITCHELL ZUCKOFF

    in Entertainment

What really happened in Benghazi? Journalist and author Mitchell Zukoff says he knows. In his extraordinary book 13 HOURS, THE INSIDE ACCOUNT OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN BENGHAZI, co-written with the surviving American security operators who fought that fateful night September 11, 2012 against the attack by Islamic militants on the US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station called the Annex in Benghazi, Libya, Zuckoff presented for the first time ever the true account of the events and offered a step by step look at how they unfolded. The source for the blockbuster film, 13 HOURS, the author of the book joins Halli at her table on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show for an in-depth conversation, Wednesday, January 20, 3 pm ET.

Mitchell Zuckoff is a professor of journalism at Boston University. His books include FROZEN IN TIME: AN EPIC STORY OF SURVIVAL about a US military airplane that crashed on the Greenland glacier during WWII, the subsequent hunt for the plane and Zuckoff's own role in helping to find the plane buried in the ice decades later and LOST IN SHANGRI-LA. Zuckoff received a master’s degree from the University of Missouri and was a Batten Fellow at the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. Zuckoff's magazine work has appeared in The New Yorker, Fortune and elsewhere.

Written from the perspective of the surviving members of the security team who were involved in the fighting, Zuckoff insists the Benghazi contractor's story is credible. Joanna Langfield's Movie Minute of 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

    in Entertainment

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi by Joanna Langfield

Michael Bay efforts to keep the politics out of this movie, but, really, how can you keep the politics out of a movie about the terror that happened at Benghazi?

Focusing on the men who served as independent military contractors and drawing from a non-fiction book about the event, Bay has delivered not a particularly artful, but restrained, respectful and effective movie. While not maybe his most commercial, it’s certainly more serious than his previous hits.

C.D. - Hillary's Ears are Ringing: The Benghazi Congressional Hearings

    in Current Events

    ASA,

    Well, it's ON.

The long anticipated hearings on the Benghazi, Libya tragedy, where 4 Americans, including Ambassador Stevens, were murdered.

Central to this and previous Congressional sessions, are the partisan perspectives from ether side of the political aisle; the GOP, who control both Houses, feel that Mrs. Clinton has not been forthright, in explaining how the 4 Americans were seemingly left to fend for themselves, against hostile insurgents, while the Democrats have decried the hearings as tantamount to a political witch-hunt, timed as a means to derail her run for the presidency.

In the meantime, with even an objective observation of the events, one cannot help but notice the utter contempt and defensiveness on the part of Mrs. Cinton.

Join us this Saturday, as we review the 11-hour hearing, which some have suggested, only serves to help Mrs. Clinton, in her (scripted?) role as "victim", and as such, ordained to be coronated as the next president of the United States, in 2017?

Heavy fighting in Benghazi, Libya (Second Coming Watch Update #527)

    in Current Events

    1. Arab news channels are reporting heavy fighting in the center of Benghazi between forces loyal to the Libyan Army and a group of Islamist militias.

    2. Having consolidated its fighting units under a unified command two months ago, the Free Syrian Army on the Golan Heights is coaxing Islamist opposition forces to leave the border area with Israel and fight the Assad regime further east.

    3. Egypt's most active militant group has sworn allegiance to the Islamic State. It has released a statement saying that they are joining the so-called caliphate.

    4. A Kuwaiti newspaper is reporting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a secret meeting in Amman with Jordan’s King Abdullah to discuss rising tensions over the Temple Mount.

    5. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director Yukiya Amano has revealed that Iran is refusing to answer questions about whether or not its nuclear program has included activities to build a nuclear bomb.

You can read these stories in more detail and get more prophecy-related news at SecondComingHerald.com.

The prophetic passage of Scripture we are looking at today is Genesis 12:7 which reads: "And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him."

Our second coming quote for today is from C.S. Lewis. He said, "The doctrine of the second coming has failed, so far as we are concerned, if it does not make us realize that at every moment of every year in our lives Donne's question, ‘What if this present night were the world's last night?’ is equally relevant."

Benghazi Hearings Show How Uninformed Most Americans and Lawmakers Are

    in News

We learned 2 things from the Benghazi hearings.

First, the corrupting nature of money in politics makes our lawmakers look out of touch and ignorant of how things work.

Second, the American public needs to take some responsibility.  We are uninformed and we allow this to happen – or some of us root for this to happen.

The chaos of these latest Benghazi hearings didn’t surprise me.  They reminded me of a cross country flight I took years ago.  I sat next to a sitting member of Congress.

How often do you hear about bills -- passed into law -- that are written -- word for word -- by special interests who have paid a lot of money to get these lawmakers elected.

We saw the same thing during the Benghazi hearings.

Clearly most of the members on the Benghazi committee are either uninformed or purposely ignorant of foreign-policy.
That's because we are as a nation.

Too often we look for black and white answers to foreign policy questions.  Why?  Because it is easier.  So we rely on information from people who are bribed by special interests.  Think about it.  Would you want to go to a doctor who is being paid by the big drug companies?

Too often we look at politics as another sporting event – rooting for one team or the other.  Why? It is easy.  You seem to have a personal connection to one party or the other, so you root for them.  The problem is when you root for your favorite sporting team – when the game or season is over it has not changed or affected your life, your livelihood, or your kids futures.  In this political football game, you are playing with serious stuff – like the deaths of 4 Americans.

Benghazi, how? who? why? Let's try and make some sense of it all

    in Current Events

    What happened in Benghazi?

On Sept. 11, 2012, after night had fallen, attackers scaled the wall of a U.S. diplomatic outpost in the Libyan port city of Benghazi. Clinton would later be called upon by House committees to testify about what happened next — although at first, those details were a little murky.

What we now know, from multiple congressional investigations, is this: The Benghazi compound was not heavily reinforced, and a group of attackers opened a gate, enabling dozens of armed men to enter. The men set fire to the building, filling it with smoke. U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens — who was visiting Benghazi that day — scrambled to a safe room with fellow American Sean Smith, a State Department communications specialist, after American security guards attempted and failed to evacuate them. Hours later, the two were found inside the building and rushed to a local hospital, but both died of smoke inhalation.

Meanwhile, American forces from the compound, including a CIA support team who had rushed over to assist with defending against the attack, retreated to a nearby CIA annex. The annex then was attacked twice, and two more Americans were killed: CIA security contractors Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who had been defending the building from the rooftop. Security officials who came from the Libyan capital of Tripoli, along with Libyan military troops, helped evacuate the rest of the U.S. personnel there.

All told, the attack happened over the course of about eight hours at the two locations.

James Hirsen discusses Hillary & Benghazi on Bill Martinez Live

    in Politics

Hillary´s benghazi testiminy were NOT a home run as reported but an expose on her complcity in not being forthright with the Amercian people about Benghazi. As James Hirsen says testimony whispers and documents scream. The emails to Chelsea and others show that Hillary Clinton knew it was a terrorist attack from day 1. The question that now must be asked is why did the Obama administration advance the Benghazi attack narrative as a product of an anti islamic video?
