She will also discuss her other acting experience and projects. Her film credits include: Dead Broke, Starving Hysterical Naked, Almost in Love, The Better Man, Chaos Theory, Area Q, and Locked in a Garage Band. However, Leslie is probably best known for creating and starring in Miracle in Rwanda, a one-woman live show based on the life of Immaculée Ilibagiza, who survived the Rwandan genocide in 1994. Over 10,000 theatergoers in six continents have seen the show. This talented actress also played Dorothy Dandridge in another one-woman show titled Yesterday Came Too Soon at the National Black Theatre in Harlem.
Leslie’s role in With Child is her first appearance as a lead in a feature film. This unique movie tells the touching story of a widowed construction worker trying to rebuild his life as a single dad while struggling with the romantic advances of his eccentric new employer (played by Leslie). "When I read the script, I thought it would be a good fit for my first film as lead producer," Leslie explains. "I love the message of the film: What we choose now affects our past.”

In this episode, we will hear how author Dean Lewis overcame a debilitating illness to empower others to use mind over matter to create positive change in their lives.
ABOUT OUR GUEST: Dean S. Lewis
Dean S. Lewis is an Author, Life Coach and Public Speaker. He shares his story and empowers others to live the life they want to achieve despite of life circumstances. He provides hope and solutions. Dean initially studied Clinical Laboratory Sciences, but in 1998 Dean underwent a critical illness caused by a reaction to a medication that changed the course of his life. He spent four months in the hospital, two of which was in the ICU fighting for his life. It was while in the hospital recovering from his illness that he discovered that he had developed severe peripheral neuropathy. Dean had to learn once more how to walk and do the basic functions of everyday life normally taken for granted. The physical therapist informed him that it would be a long road but Dean persevered through corrective surgery, 2 years of physical therapy and strength training in order to be free of any assisted walking devices.
Dean began his public speaking and life coaching in 2012. He published his first ebook “Peripheral Neuropathy: Nine Simple Steps To Reduce The Pain” in February 2014 and Peripheral Neuropathy: Daily Tips and Affirmations in October 2014. The paperback copy of the book is also available on Amazon. Dean helps clients regain focus in life and helps them to see how they can achieve their goals. His website http://www.livingwithperipheralneuropathy.com was featured in the Dec/Jan 2014 issue of Neurology Now magazine as one of the top patient blogs for peripheral neuropathy. Dean has spoken at Peripheral Neuropathy Support Groups meetings and lives in New Jersey with his wife and son.
