ThaKidd Jopp (aka Rickey Joppy) will be our guest for this SPECIAL BROADCAST to talk about the video that has gotten the attention of many brothers & sisters in the body of Christ.....INCLUDING LECRAE!
Some say this brother went too far in addressing Lecrae and need to repent for causing divsion. Others differ and support his effort to lovingly confront Lecrae about what seems to be an overall concern within the body of Christ.

Grammy nominated hip hop artist Lecrae stops by TD radio to discuss his career and his mission to spread the gospel. As the frontrunner of Christian Rap, Lecrae has undoubtedly influenced mainstream media and culture with Rehab, arguably his most heartfelt album to date. His clever delivery and inspirational message has music lovers, of various cultural backgrounds and spiritual beliefs, becoming instant fans.
He says of his faith and his work, "I think every rapper is a preacher, it’s what’s the sermon that they are giving. Every rapper is preaching something. They are either preaching that you can find satisfaction in a million dollars or 50 women, or that you are not a real man unless you are a killer. I just look at myself as another individual who has a different message and a world view that I think is the most beneficial, the most helpful, and I’ll be honest, it’s the right one...I think a Biblical world view is the right world view." His name is Lecrae Moore.
Mike Lapaglia and Steve Russo will be sharing a LIVE recorded interview with Christian Rapper Jay Reed. Jay has a song that went viral called "Letter to LeCrae" and is working on his new projects "Pain Killers and Crutches" and also "Further Upon the Rock." We will also be discussing some top stories that are happening in our world today.
Last month, the world was unfortunately introduced to a 22-year-old man named Elliot Rodger. His father is a Hollywood movie director, and he was raised in a $1 million home. He drove a Mercedes-Benz and a BMW. He bought $300 sunglasses, was chauffeured in limousines, attended private concerts, and flew first class. He had everything money could buy. But on Friday, May 23rd, he killed six people because, according to a YouTube video he left behind, he was frustrated and angry because women showed no interest in him.
With money and privileges that most people could only dream of, you would think that Elliot Rodger would be one of the happiest people on earth. But he wasn't. By his own admittance, he was angry and bitter at the world. While psychologists and psychiatrists debate his mental state and try to come up with a plausible reason why this man would kill his own roommates and then kill three others, one thing we know for sure is that no matter how much money he had, he was not happy, content, or satisfied with his life.
Sadly, today, many people focus on pursuing things that money can buy. And what is even more sad is that people actually look for fulfillment and meaning in these things. They look for happiness in cars, houses, success, sex, money, and more money. They quickly find out, though, that life is about far more than success and gaining material things. They realize that what they are really searching for is happiness, joy, love, internal peace and assurance for the future -- all things that money can't buy.
These things last forever and keep our hearts at rest during times of turmoil and conflict. Money cannot buy such things. Only a person can give them to us. And that person is Jesus Christ.

This weekend, a lot of attention is being paid to the canonization of Pope John Paul II as a saint by the Roman Catholic Church. According to the Catholic Church, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints investigates the life of a candidate for sainthood. Their requirements are: (1) that the person be dead; (2) that the person has lived in a "heroically virtuous" manner and pursued holiness in this life, and (3) that at least two verifiable miracles had occurred through intercession to that person. The Vatican conducts an intense investigation of a candidate's life and any miracles that are said to have occurred by that person's intercession before declaring him or her a "saint."
Now, if we are waiting on the Catholic Church, most of us don't stand a chance at becoming a saint. First, thank God, we are not dead. I’d rather be a living “ain’t” than a dead saint. In the Bible, the saints such as St. John and St. Peter were saints before they died and therefore remained saints after they died. Second, none of us have lived “heroically virtuous” lives and that is for sure. In fact, the Bible tells us that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and that “all our righteousness are as filthy rags”. Third, no one has prayed to us to get a miracle and if they did, they could not get a miracle from us whether we are alive or dead. The only One who can give anybody a miracle is God through His Son Jesus Christ. That is why we should be glad the Catholic Church is not in charge of making people saints. God is, and according to God's Word, anyone can become a saint. Yes, ordinary people like you and me -- with all of our sins, faults, and failures -- can become saints.
