Dwyane Wade leads the NBA in fourth-quarter scoring. His team has defeated LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers twice during the regular season when the Cavs have traveled to Miami.
If there is one potential matchup that is going to make the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs interesting, it is Heat vs. Cavaliers. As the standings look now, a 2 vs. 7 matchup between the teams could take place. But Miami could still fall to No. 8 or rise to No. 6, and then the Eastern Conference first round will be a cure for insomnia.
That was only one of the topics of discussion this morning as I went on the air with Sid Rosenberg on 640-AM WFTL in Miami. We hit on Commissioner Adam Silver, the New York Knicks, the Atlanta Hawks and the tight Western Conference playoff race -- which is making folks on the Eastern seaboard nervous.
Give a listen for a quick trip around he NBA -- including a brief look back at last summer when I was the first journalist to report that LeBron James would be leaving the Miami Heat and joining the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron James once was the villified native son from Akron after leaving the Cavaliers to take his talents to South Beach. Four years, four NBA Finals and two titles later, LeBron has returned to try to give Cleveland its first professional sports championship since 1964. If he does win a title this season, will it put four years of vitriol and hatred from Cavs fans to rest? Join the conversation at (347) 308-8219 as we discuss LeBron's future and his legacy.
Vince McKee was on the Sports Beat with Nick Camino & Andre Knott on WTAM 1100 in Cleveland last night to discuss the excerpts on SheridanHoops.com this week from his new book “The Redemption of the King.”
Highlights from the interview include the meaning behind the title, and McKee's original inspiration to write the book.
They also covered the best parts of the book -- but also the most difficult parts of the book to write.
Among topics discussed were LeBron's epic Game 5 of the 2007 NBA Eastern Conference finals, as well as the hard fought series loss to the Orlando Magic in the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals.
It was a fun and informative interview that will keep fans excited about the excerpts on Sheridanhoops, as well as the book in general.

Rule of thumb: Don't bet against LeBron James.
Yes, the Golden State Waqrriors have three players who can defend him: Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala.
Yes, the Golden State Warriors have the reigning MVP in Stephen Curry.
Yes, the Warriors are healthier.
Yes, the Warriors have home court advantage, having lost only three times all season at Oracle Arena.
But does anybody out there really want to state that Stephen Curry is a better all-around player than LeBron James?
Does anybody out there have any doubts about LeBron's confidence level? Or his drive? Or the zeal behind the quest he is on -- to bring Cleveland its first professionsl sports championship in any sport since 1964?
The Golden State Warriors are damn good. I have them winning three games in the NBA Finals.
But I have the Cavs winning four games, including Game 7 on the road, as I told Brandon Tierney and Tiki Barber of CBS Sports Radio in this interview.
Coach Dru Joyce. Joyce coached, mentored and served as a father figure to LeBron James and remains one of the most successful high school basketball coaches in America. He's also a follower of Christ and author of a new book, 'Beyond Championships: A Playbook for Winning at Life'
** MENTORSHIP, STEWARDSHIP, SERVANT-HEARTEDNESS: LeBron James, one of the wealthiest and most popular athletes on earth, says ‘the principle that Coach Dru instilled in me that has probably impacted me the most is to always have the heart of a servant.’ How important was that lesson for a boy that would grow to have what LeBron would have -- an empire --in terms of influence and money and power?
** HUMILITY: For Coach Joyce, losing in the Ohio state finals as a 1st year coach, with LeBron James, the nation's #1 ranked team and as the subject of a Sports Illustrated cover story (LeBron and the team at St. Vincent St. Mary) provided a lesson in humility. Particularly when the newspapers placed the loss on his shoulders. Great lesson in dealing with disappointment and expectations, harsh words from others.
** GOD HAS A PLAN: Coach Joyce had never coached a basketball game in his life, but at the age of 42, left a decades-old position at ConAgra with a great deal of security to do what he felt called to do. It wasn't easy and it took faith in the Lord and the courage to move, cooperate with His plan. Courage to leave security behind. So, for people who feel stuck -- this story is an encouraging one. Over the course of the last decade, he's proven to be one of the most successful high school coached in America.
