The Dark Underbelly of Leadership series continues with Linda Lombardo and Joss Rowlands.
In this epic live episode, Linda and Joss talk about Beauty, Danger, Sex, Humor, Charm, Eccentricity and Intelligence - all types of leadership energy described in the book, The Stake, the Making of Leaders by Coaches Training Institute's Henry Kimsey-House and David Skibbins.
When we talk about authentic, responsible leadership, how do these inherent energy types support us and how do the sabotage us? What do others feel in our presence and how does that impact our ability to lead?
Other Dark Underbelly programs may be found here on BlogTalkRadio. We've been broadcasting this series since January 2015 and there's more to come!

This is an edited replay of a live broadcast from February 2014.
Host, Linda Lombardo speaks with Dr. Otto Scharmer, a senior lecturer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management. Dr. Scharmer is co-founder of the Presencing Institute, and the founding chair of the MIT IDEAS Program, that takes leaders from civil society, government and business from Indonesia and China on a nine month action learning journey in order to co-create profound social innovation in their communities. With the German government (GIZ Global Leadership Academy) and the Gross National Happiness Centre in Bhutan, he co-founded the Global Well-being and Gross National Happiness Lab, which brings together innovative thinkers from developing and industrialized countries to prototype new ways of measuring well-being and social progress. He has worked with governments in Africa, Asia and Europe and led leadership and innovation programs at corporations such as Daimler, Alibaba, ICBC, Eileen Fisher, Google and PwC.
At the time of the interview, Dr. Scharmer talks about his vision for a U.Lab MOOC (massive open online course) which since this original broadcast has come to fruition.
Linda Lombardo and Joss Rowlands continue the conversation about what is leadership and how the dark underbelly shows up when we least expect it.
This month's topic: Authentic Leadership - Well, ok, you might say - If it's not authentic, then what is it?
Here's a quote from a 2013 article on leadership: a Forbes article by contributor Kevin Kruse.
"It continues to surprise me how many leaders attempt to be one way at work, while their ‘true’ personality emerges outside of work. Once a CEO reminded me, ‘Leadership is acting.’ And it surprises me when these same leaders seem shocked or confused when their employees don’t trust them, don’t like them, and can’t really wait to work elsewhere." -Kevin Kruse, Forbes
Joss and Linda explore the paradox of authentic leadership within the dark underbelly, or perhaps its the paradox of the dark underbelly within authentic leadership? Please join us to find out.
The Dark Underbelly of Leadership Series continues with Power Elements in Relationship: what's shaped us to become the people we are today? How do archetypes fit into our past and connect to our present and future?
This exploration and conversation is hosted by Linda Lombardo with Joss Rolands and this program's guest, coach Phil Askew.
Together, we explore the passive child: puppet, slave or shapeshifter archetypes, the child who was encouraged to have a voice - wondering whose voice was it, and the revolutionary and rebel child: making waves for the sake waves or something bigger than him or herself; acting from ego or servant leadership.
A fascinating conversation that will leave you with more inquiry than answer, and lots of places to search within yourself.
