When a Symptom is tagged as a diseae, drug companies prosper

    in Health

When drug companies look at symptoms and give them disease names, they automatically distort the selection of available natural treatments from Mother Nature for such a dis-ease. If the dis-ease is, by itself, hyper-cho-les-terol-emia or high cholesterol, then the cure for the dis-ease must be nothing other than lowering the high LDL cholesterol. And that's how we end up with all these pharmaceuticals treating high cholesterol in order to 'prevent' this dis-ease and lower the levels of the only bad LDL cholesterol in the human body.   By lowering only the cholesterol, the doctor can rest assured that he/she is, in fact, treating this 'disease,' since the definition of this 'disease' is hypercholesterolemia or high cholesterol and nothing else.   But there is a fatal flaw in this approach to disease treatment: the symptom is not the cause of the dis-ease. There is another cause, and this deeper cause is routinely ignored by conventional medicine, doctors, drug companies, and even the people being diagnosed.   Tune in this Wednesday at 7:PM to learn more

Jimmy Moore on Ketosis, Weight loss & Ketogenic Diet

    in Health

Are you confused by what your cholesterol levels really say about your health? Don't you wish someone could just spell it out in simple English and tell you what, if anything, you need to do to improve your heart and overall health? That's precisely what Cholesterol Clarity is designed to do. Jimmy Moore, a prolific and highly respected health blogger and podcaster, interviewed 28 of the world's top health experts from various fields to give you the complete lowdown on cholesterol. He and his co-author, family practitioner and researcher Dr. Eric Westman, have broken down this critical information for you to know what is most important and what is not. Within the pages of this book you'll learn invaluable lessons, including: Why your LDL-C and total cholesterol numbers may not be as important in determining your health as your doctor may think. The undeniable negative role chronic inflammation plays in your health. Why cholesterol-lowering statin drugs don't necessarily solve your heart health concerns. Why your doctor should be testing for LDL particles and particle size. Why HDL and triglycerides are far more predictive of health concerns than LDL-C and total cholesterol. Why consuming saturated fat is good and why carbohydrates are detrimental to attaining the best cholesterol numbers.
