Back II Basic Episode 465 : Commenting on the news stories of the day!!!

    in Politics Conservative

Why are school students not doing better, even though we are spending gobs of money per student? Is it a lack of money or is the money going to the wrong people? Also are we educating our children in the best way that we can? Why are we trying to make a one size fits all curriculum for every child, instead of tailoring the curriculum for how the child learns?

Constitutional carry, what do you think? Background checks are one thing, but to have to pay a fee to carry your weapon, is that going to far? Leave a comment on my website of what you think.

Why is socialism still so popular with our youth? I blame parents for not making sure their children are educated in basic real world economics. The one pie economic fallacy needs to be defeated once and for all.

And also the news events of the day and your phone calls!!!

What did the founders think about when it came to democracies? Are we a democracy? If not then what are we? A follower on Twitter is trying to convince me that we are a democracy, and we are going to exam that on today's show.

Also voter ID's are back in the news in North Carolina, we are going to look at this issue on today's show.

Is Ted Cruz the establishment candidate or does he stand apart from them?

Oh and also other news of the day!!!

It looks likes things have come to a head in Oregon, with one person dead. Did it have to come to this? What are your thoughts on this? I think there is enough blame to go around for both side of the BLM argument.

What is going on with Donald Trump? Pulling out of the RNC debate, is that a wise move? Will this show people how Donald Trump will really operate if he becomes president? What are the other candidates saying?

We will also continue our discussion about Republic verses Democracy, and more news of the day!!!

EP216 Historical Pirate Fiction Author Ozgur Sahin joins Kori on the Back Porch

    in Books

Ozgur K. Sahin is an award-winning independent author and life coach currently living in Minnesota. He has a background in astrophysics, consciousness development, and history.  He is currently editing the second book in his Brethren of the Spanish Main historical pirate fiction series, and has written and blogged about narcissism and personal/social development.

    The Wrath of Brotherhood

After learning of his sister’s death at the hands of pirates, successful merchant Captain Roy Toppings sails to the Caribbean on a misguided mission of vengeance against the man who failed to protect her: her Spanish widower, Pablo Francisco.

In the climate of the Restoration-era Caribbean colonies, where scheming and stealth could yield a prize as readily as boldness and firepower, Roy's vendetta lands him and his small but talented privateer crew in the middle of political intrigue and a deadly invasion in the West Indies as the nations of Europe struggle to consolidate power in anticipation of new monarchs in England and France.

When Spain prepares a strike that could jeopardize all other commercial interests in the Caribbean, Roy must risk losing his chance at vengeance to fight for his nation and his fellow Brethren of the Coast.

Super Bowl 50 is in the books, and if you like D-FENCE, this was a good Super Bowl. It came down to who made the least mistakes, and that was the Denver Broncos. Congratulations to the Broncos!

Has anyone seen a debate yet this season? I mean I have watched what they call a debate, however, I have not seen one debate yet! It seems like all the questions asked are geared to create controversy, or go over policy points that will make the candidates argue among themselves!

A real debate would ask a series of questions that each candidate has to answer. All candidates are ask to answer the same question. We will never know what the candidates stand for if they keep getting gotcha questions from the moderators!

Has anyone seen my Republic? Why are the American people so timid about getting politics right? We have a constitution we can refer to when we have questions about whether the government is doing it job right. Why is the public at large so lazy, that they can't be bothered with guiding their stewards constitutionally? Freedom and Liberty are not free and it take work to keep them!

Back II Basic Episode 460 : Commenting on the news stories of the day!!!

    in Politics Conservative

I see that Sarah Palin has endorsed The Donald, but will it benefit his campaign? Also I see a troubling trend with Donald Trump, most of his campaign promises come in the form of dictatorial mandates? I thought the “Make this country great again” depended on the American people, not a small group of brilliant individuals guiding us from on high?

DownsizeDC.org has a blog article about people being tracked with their cell phones without a warrant. I have my own thoughts, but what do you think? There is a case going up through the federal courts as we speak, and if the plaintiff wins, it will further place our 4th amendment rights back towards property instead of privacy, where I think it belongs!

Government subsidies, are you for them or against them? I think too many Americans are getting rich at the expense of the average tax payer. Is it OK for the government to pick winners and looser, or should the free markets choose who does good and who does not?

EP215 Author & Historian Robert Buccellato Joins Kori on the Back Porch

    in Books

Robert Buccellato is the Author of "Florida Governors Lasting Legacies", "Jimmy Carter in Plains the Presidential Hometown", and the forthcoming "Finding Dan McCarty."
He is a Graduate of Florida State University and the Historian for the Clerk of Courts for Leon County, a position created for him by Clerk Bob Inzer.

The physical connections to most American presidents are deeply rooted in the past and unfamiliar. One can no longer see Washingtons birthplace or William Henry Harrisons log cabin. Plains, Georgia, is different, and the attachment Americans have for it remains truly unique. Jimmy Carter in Plains: A Presidential Hometown tells the inspirational story of how one man and his community transformed a nation. When Jimmy Carter, a one-term governor of Georgia, announced his candidacy for president, few took him seriously. Yet, in just two years, he managed to pull off a spectacular and unprecedented victory, thanks to his personal style of politicking and the support of his hometown. Many of his neighbors campaigned for him, and they became known as the Peanut Brigade. Crowds started to flock to the sleepy hamlet of Plains, making celebrities out of the candidates mother, younger brother, and daughter. The exceptional photographs of Charles W. Plant guide the reader through the 1976 election, which made Plains Americas hometown.

Back II Basic Episode 476 : Free-4-All-Friday!!! And news stories of the day!!!

    in Politics Conservative

I'm sorry for not being with you live the past few days. I got a new job and had to go through orientation for it. Today I will be on my regular shift and the lives shows will go on. The new format starting Monday the 15th, will be a 1 hour show starting at 10am. The show will be packed with all the good stuff I can put in it, and also new interviews that will become a regular part of my program.

On today's show we will show you how socialism works in the political world. The irony is just too much!!!

We will be talking about the 2nd amendment again today. How many businesses do you know that ban guns? And can you get in trouble with the law if you do carry a gun into one of these businesses?

It may surprise you that millennials really don't understand what socialism is or how it works!! Go figure. With our government indoctrination centers cranking out students who can't think for themselves, is it any wonder?
