What do Tony and two-time Grammy Award winner Jennifer Holiday, Grammy Award winner Gloria Gaynor, R&B star Bobby V, and Pop Phenom Justin Bieber all have in common? They’ve been fortunate to have soulful songstress Latrese Bush as a background vocalist. Her melodic vocal range has supported these and many other musical greats. Latrese fuses her high energy with brilliant vocal ability in each song and performance – crafting memorable musical experiences for her audience.
She made her acting debut in the feature film, The Fighting Temptations, featuring super star artist Beyonce Knowles and Oscar winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. She also performed background vocals on the motion picture’s soundtrack. Later she expanded her credits by appearing in Tyler Perry’s House of Payne’s, Palmer Williams’ play For Better or For Worse.
Latrese will continue to blaze her path to success, as she approaches the release of her debut LP, with the goal of realizing all the hopes and dreams of that little girl from Bluffton. That’s what powerhouse vocalists do!
In this segment of Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne, Latrese shares music, hopes, and dreams.

Boxer KaSondra LaTrese Hardnett grew up in Philadelphia. Upon graduating high school, she enrolled in the U.S. Army, which led to her serious commitment to the sport of boxing. This, in turn, introduced her to coach/trainer Rob Bell - and the rest, as they say, is history.
On Monday, May 13th, we'll speak with Hardnett about her years 'on the mat' (including sparring with Laila Ali!), and what's coming up next for her career. And of course, we'll discuss other sports-related matters, including: Kobe Bryant's legal battles with his mother; Vijay Singh's lawsuit against the PGA Tour; yet another pro athlete's run-in with the law (are we really surprised anymore?); and much more.
So be sure to tune in at 8pm EST on Monday, May 13th for lively banter, chatter and laughter...but mostly, sports from the women's perspective.
