A lame duck Congress went back to work today, which makes us wonder: Can it be any lamer than it's been the last four years? MOMocrats Cynematic, Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills are not encouraged by reports that Harry Reid will not pursue confirmation of Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch, leaving it to the next session when Mitch McConnell will be the leader. Judging from McConnell's record since vowing to just say no to everything the President proposes, we don't think this will go well. Political discussion from the progressive point of view by the MOMocrats. Produced by Engender Media Group.
It's the Monday after Thanksgiving, and I hope that you have had your fill of family and friends and turkey at least until Christmas. Guess what??? Congress has returned to work!!! Did I say "work"??? They have not done anything for as long as I can remember!!! Everyone wants to review legislation with "fresh" eyes! What is so fresh??? Rep. Louis Gohmert from Texas has returned...Rep. Fox from Virginia has returned...Gone will be Rep. Michele Bachmann from Minnesota. But in her place, we will have Sen. Joni Ernst, the "pig castrator," who is coming to Washington to "make them squeal!" (Her words, not mine). What are your thoughts; we'd like to know! Call us at 646-595-3275 and have the coffee perking.

Jonathan Gruber has done more harm to Obamacare than all Republicans combined with his boastful, arrogant comments about how a lack of transparency and deliberate lying sold the bill to Congress and the people. What will be the practical fallout of his comments?
Meanwhile, Congress will be meeting in a lame duck session that promises fireworks galore. What is Congress likely to take up and what is likely to be left for the new Congress in January? We'll ask Bill Straub, PJ Media's Washington correspondent.
The show streams live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.
The Taxpayer Advocate Service, an ombudsman for the IRS, is responsible for assisting taxpayers in resolving certain problems with the IRS, including financial hardships, significant costs and delays, and lack of communication from the IRS. The Advocate presents an annual report to Congress identifying systemic problems that exist within the IRS and, to the extent possible, proposing changes in its administrative practices and identifying potential legislative changes that may mitigate such problems. This podcast with attorney Joshua Nesser will discuss the Advocate’s 2015 report and how it will affect taxpayers.
If you're still waiting for Republicans to come riding to the nation's rescue, you'd best come up with a Plan B.
The new Congress was in sesion for mere minutes when its members declared their intent to follow the same path that's proven a disaster the last four years.
There are signs of deepening trouble on other fronts.
The U.S. National Debt blew past 18 trillion dollars in December, adding a 100 billion in new debt on the New Year's Eve alone.
Cheap oil continues to trip up stumbling economies. None has taken a full, hard fall yet, but the possiblity remains.
Dark days lay ahead in 2015. Join us at 1 o'clock Eastern on Friday as Don and Doug continue connecting the dots in perilous times.

Tonight- Michigan's 2014 lame duck legislative session ended last week with two bills passing in the senate that pave the way for industrial hemp research in the state. The industrial hemp bills are now awaiting action from the Governor. The 2014 legislative session also ended without two patient friendly medical marijuana bills being brought up for a vote on the senate floor.
Joining us tonight to discuss what happened in the 2014 lame duck session and what is being considered for 2015 will be-
MINorml Board member Steve Sharpe who worked with Everett and Nakita Swift and others to help move the industrial hemp legislation through the House and Senate
Jim Powers from Michigan Parents for Compassion, father of a pediatric medical marijuana patient and instrumental in getting a bill introduced to clarify the law in regard to non-smokable forms of cannabis
Robin Schneider- legislative liaison for the National Patients Rights Association, who along with top independent lobbyist Kevin McKinney, led the lobbying effort for the patient friendly bills
Michael's rant, news, current events and more!
The 114th Congress should reclaim the authority that previous legislators delegated to executive agencies, and that Barack Obama just plain stole, if they're willing, and if they're able; and there's the rub; and Congressional Republicans meet to plot their next moves, and the first one is aimed squarely at Obamnesty.
Welcome to the People's Show. Happy New Year!
NEW YEAR, NEW ATTITUDE? Or is it the same ol' tired bullsh*t or worse on Capitol Hill?
What can we look forward to this New Year as the 114th Congress takes over with a Republican dominated majority in both chambers.
What is happening in your State? Will Democrats finally step up and represent or will it be the same ol' sh*t on a different day? The Clown parade for the 2016 GOP nomination has already begun. We won't waste time talking much about those jokers. What we'll talk about is:
How will Immigration Reform, XL Keystone Pipeline, Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement, Marriage Equality, Open Carry Laws and other major issues of the day play out with this new GOP majority?
Is Obama a lame duck president for the next 2 years?
Join us to talk about this and many other hot topics and how it affects YOUR State and America in general. We love hearing from everyone.
