LakersNation.com's Jabari Davis was joined by Jamieson Welsh (Fox Sports Radio) and Jordan Buscarini (Castle Country Radio) for the first episode of your Lakers Nation Podcast for the 2015-16 regular season. The three of them reassessed what might be realistic expectations for this team as the franchise continues to transition from what has been a remarkable run throughout a majority of the "Kobe Bryant Era" to establishing a new foundation centered around a promising core of young players led by Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell.
The trio also addressed this week's 'LakersNation.com Roundtable Question' -generated each week by the site's Corey Hansford- and discussed whether it was a mistake by the front office to cut center Robert Upshaw.
The 'Twitter Conersation of the Week' centered around @TeamJ30_Randle's question about whether Jordan Clarkson's continued emergence could potentially delay D'Angelo Russell's development as a playmaker and eventual leader at this level?
LakersNation.com's Jabari Davis and Corey Hansford were joined by Jamieson Welsh (Fox Sports Radio) and Jordan Buscarini (Castle Country Radio) for this week's episode of your Lakers Nation Podcast.
The four of them discussed: roster cuts, D'Angelo Russell's progress and role, Marcelo Huertas' impressive play, the Lamar Odom situation and the coaching staff's willingness to embrace three-point shooting and advanced analytics as a whole (Rondtable Question).
LakersNation.com's Jabari Davis was joined by Jamieson Welsh (Fox Sports Radio) and Jordan Buscarini (Castle Country Radio) for this weeks episode. The three of them discussed Kobe Bryant's recent reminder to the young players of this team's necessity to work the ball around on the offensive end and why there's a lot of "pot" meet "kettle" in that suggestion, D'Angelo Russell's steady improvement, Coach Scott's admission that he still struggles with balancing Bryant's minutes and why that remains problematic and several Twitter topics provided by you listeners.
They also dove into this week's LakersNation.com Roundtable Question: What does Julius Randle need to work on in order to continue what has already been an impressive development process.
LakersNation.com writer Jabari Davis is joined by Jamieson Welsh (Fox Sports Radio) and Jordan Buscarini (Castle Country Radio) for our weekly NBA discussion where we will provide analysis, a behind-the-scenes look at the Los Angeles Lakers and really attempt to capture the "voice" of Lakers Nation.
We discussed the summer additions, the current direction of the franchise, Kobe Bryant's return and what realistic expectations for the 2015-16 NBA season might look like.
This week, we were joined by LakersNation.com's Corey Hansford. Beyond providing quality editorials and news content for the site, Hansford also puts together a weekly roundtable question that we'll try to feature and discuss each episode. Question of the Week: Will D'Angelo Russell or Julius Randle have a better "rookie" season for the Lakers in 2015-16?
LakersNation.com's Jabari Davis was joined by Jamieson Welsh (Fox Sports Radio), Jordan Buscarini (Castle Country Radio) and LakersNation's own Trevor Lane for this week's episode of your Lakers Nation Podcast.
The four of them offered reactions to what the team has shown through the first few preseason games, got into just how impressive Julius Randle has looked and discussed whether D'Angelo Russell's overall health may be a concern as the 19-year-old returns from his second "fluke" camp injury.

One of our most favorite bands and guests are back! The hardest-working band on the metal scene, A Sound of Thunder is back to talk to us about their 5th album and most ambitious project to date! Based on the Shadowman series of comic books, the band's latest release, Tales From the Deadside, is a concept album like no other.
Award-winning comic book publisher Valiant Entertainment and Washington, DC area metal band A Sound of Thunder are teaming up for “Tales from the Deadside” – an all-new concept album inspired by New Orleans’ nocturnal guardian…the voodoo-empowered hero simply known as Shadowman!
The story of Shadowman, his alter-ego Jack Boniface, and the many characters in his world inspired us to create what we believe is our best album to date,” said A Sound of Thunder guitarist Josh Schwartz. “We let the story lead us to places our music has never been before, combining all the elements of supernatural horror, drama, action and adventure found in the comics. Of course, everything has gone through our own unique Thunderous filter, and all the familiar ASOT elements will be there. Shadowman’s harrowing journey demanded no less!
After our highest-rated show earlier this year with Outlander author Diana Gabaldon, many of you have contacted us asking if or when we would have more stars from the Outlander series on the show with us; and we were not idle during our summer hiatus!
We're having a special Saturday-night show for the one and only Graham McTavish; not only known for his role as Dougal on the wildly popular Outlander show, but also for his roles in such movies as The Hobbit and Rambo. Although we know it is short notice, Graham has taken time out of his very hectic schedule to visit our show and talk to us about the brand-new release of Outlander's second half of season 1 on DVD, and his past and present projects. We are so glad to have him as our guest and hope you will join us!
LAKERS VS NY KNICKS -POST GAME DISCUSSION........... QUESTION TONIGHT ......Is Byron Scott the Right Coach for the Lakers? If you Could Choose between Byron Scott and Mark Jackson who would You Pick?
Ever get the feeling, that if certain players aren't on the team, it isn't the same? For instance, when Larry Bird wasn't playing, was there a void? What about Scottie Pippin? Or Oscar de La Hoya - (just checking to see if you are paying attention!!!) - And sometimes, just to see those electrifying players come to the court is enough, whether the game is won or not. That's just the way it is - the announcers are excited with the slam dunks, the steals, the block shots, the tre 3-point shots that tie a game, or if the game is down by two and the 3-er gives them a one point edge. KOBE BRYANT is that type of player, and the LAKER GURL - Stephff lays it on the line for KB, right here on the JKN. #WWLG4L #EverythingLakers #LakerGurl #StephanieBeard #LarryHines #LakerGang #JKN
DON NICOLEONE NBA GAME SHOW: GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS VS LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
THE DON NICOLEONE SHOW AIRS MONDAY - FRIDAY 12 NOON EST ON WGAG RADIO!!
CALL IN NUMBER 1.347.884.9239
The Warriors will put their undefeated record on the line on Thursday night when they visit the division rival Los Angeles Clippers. The nationally televised contest will be the second Dubs-Clippers matchup of the season, as the Warriors erased a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter of a 112-108 victory at home on November 5. Another win on Thursday would guarantee the Dubs at least a split of the season series with the Clippers, not to mention add more padding in the division standings. Tipoff in Los Angeles is set for 7:30 p.m.
Stephanie “THE LAKER GURL” Beard has become one of the hottest hosts on the JKN. She is spicy and spirited, a devoted PRINCE lover and extreme Laker fan. Her EVERYTHING LAKERS show is one of the most listened to shows on the network, the reason you find it featured quite often. Anyone that comes in contact with Stephanie will become attracted to her with her magnetic personality.
But don’t let her girlish/feminine style buffalo you. She will stand up to any situation and let you have it, so you better come prepared. If you were to look up FAN (fanatic) in the dictionary, you will see her face next to it, but only for the LAKERS. Wouldn’t she be called a different TEAM GIRL, if it were so? But don’t say anything negative about her L.A. Lakers and KOBE. She will stand you down and read you the riot act. This is a show to behold! 347-205-9366.
