Proclaiming Jesus Christ Throughout The World

    in Religion

Then saith He unto His disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few: Pray ye therefore The Lord of the harvest that He will send forth labourers into His Harvest- (Matthew 9:37)

We are an Apostolic work with an Apostolic vision, which equips and enables laborers to accomplish the Great Commission. The Bible tells us that Apostles is first; 1 Corinthians 12:27-28 says: Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostle, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracle, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and diversities of tongues.

Apostles are not just first in rank, but also in timing or order sent. Apostolic vision must go first to establish, train, and equip the laborers that God is calling to receive the last day’s harvest.  House of Christ Ministries Inc is called to this specific work.Join us for Sunday Worship Service at 12Noon and Mondays at 8pm: Prayer Meetings Thursdays at 730pm House of Christ Ministries Inc 199-20 Linden Blvd., St. Albans NY 11412

The Book Of James/ Danger Of Riches; Patience and Prayer

    in Radio

Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.  Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire.  Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.  Behold the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord sabaoth.  ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth resist you.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.  Behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned; behold the judge standeth before the door.

    The Burning Bush

    in Religion

For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

    The Lord of the Harvest

    in Christianity

As we approach the season of Autumn where the leaves fall from the trees, the weather becomes cool and crisp the plants change colors so do we change along with the season. At this time of year farmers gather the crops they have grown and then harvest them. As farmers work together during the time of harvest so does God desires of us to do the same. This is why we must pray unto the Lord of the harvest. The field is plentious but the workers are so few.
Matthew 9:38 "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers his harvest". (KJV)

Evangelism is Spiritual Farming (The Soul-Winning Motivator #27)

    in Christianity

Our soul winning passage from the Word of God today is John 4:35 which reads: "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."

Our soul winning quote today is from Will McRaney. He said, "We cannot harvest where no seed has been planted."

Our soul winning devotional today is part 10 of our series titled "What Evangelism Is..." from Dave Earley and David Wheeler's fine book, "Evangelism Is...: How to Share Jesus With Passion and Confidence".

    Evangelism is spiritual farming.

The church was born into an agricultural society. Most of the people lived in the country and farmed. Even village dwellers had a garden and raised a few animals. If you were not a fisherman or a carpenter, you likely would have been a farmer. The idea of plowing, planting, and harvesting would have been easily understood. Therefore, when the apostle Paul was trying to help the Corinthian Christians understand the nature of evangelism, he used the analogy of the harvest. 1 Corinthians 3:6-9 says: "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building."

In Paul's harvest analogy the gospel is the seed. Paul and Apollos were harvest workers along with God. The hearts of the Corinthians were the field of soil. The "increase" or harvest is the result of the gospel's producing new life in the heart of a lost person.
