The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) released the first global assessment on the issue of human trafficking. The bottom line: human slavery is still with us. An estimated 21 million people are living in slavery in the world today. The UNODC reports that the most common form of human trafficking (79%) is sexual exploitation, followed by forced labour (18%). According to the Report, the victims of sexual exploitation are predominantly women and girls. In some countries such as Russia and the Ukraine, trafficking in women for the sex trade is a big business. Surprisingly, in 30% of the countries which provided information on the gender of traffickers, women make up the largest proportion of traffickers. In some parts of the world, women trafficking women is the norm. Forced labour is less frequently detected and reported than trafficking for sexual exploitation. Worldwide, almost 20% of all trafficking victims are children. If you are a woman or have a daughter how can you protect yourself and them from such exploitation? What are the danger signs that you may be walking into a situation where you could become enslaved? Join Ken and Beth as they discuss this extremely disturbing topic. Beth will give us good advice on how to keep yourself from being victimized by the slavers. You won't want to miss this episode! Pray to "Enter God's Rest" Matt 11:28-30 [AMP] Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]
Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good-not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
Hebrews 4:9-12 [KJV] vs 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
vs 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
vs 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
vs 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
