Tonight we will be discussing back in August, a pristine copy of Action Comics No. 1, containing the origin story of the Man of Steel, sold for more than $3.2 million on eBay. But even if you don't have that kind of dough, you can see what the historic issue -- rated 9 out of 10 by CGC Comics, an independent grading authority -- looks like thanks to a scan the company posted on its website.
Also we will be talking about a KRYPTON being a possible TV SHOW just like SMALLVILLE. Come and join us tonight on your thoughts of a possible KRYPTON TV show.
This week we'll discuss all the stuff that's spilled onto the internet due to the massive hack and leak suffered by Sony.
Plus we'll entertain the idea about a show that takes place on a planet that explodes. is it plausible? (It's not.)
as a bonus Kai will tell us about her past life as a privateer!
that was a lie...but who knows?
Greetings citizens! Yes, we're aware that we just had a "mixtape" (Comic Shoppe+Afronerd Radio) broadcast last week, but due to more attention being raised concerning Dr. Bill Cosby, we must address that controversy in addition to current pulp/pop cultural issues. AGAIN, welcome to this week's Grindhouse show, courtesy of Afronerd Radio airing this Saturday at 6pm (EST). Join Daryll B., Capt. Kirk and Dburt as they wax about the following topics: the crew weighs in on the Cosby scandal as more women come forward in addition to the now viral footage of noted poet/educator, Nikki Giovanni critiquing the fallen comedian back in '07; another controversy dubbed "Shirtgate" brews over British physicist. Matt Taylor's fashion choices as he successfully landed a probe on a moving comet; a recent study found in Social Psychological and Personality Science posits that many Whites perceive Blacks to possess superhuman, if not mystical abilities (huh?); our thoughts on what movies/TV shows should have been comics and vice versa; Universal Pictures purports to create a shared Horror Universe (a la Marvel) with less emphasis on "horror" and more action; with the onset of a successful Gotham TV series, can a Superman/Smallville prequel (Krypton) have the same mojo? and lastly, we give our general impressions of the fall sci-fi/fantasy/comic TV season thus far. Call live at 646-915-9620.
Tonight I finally listen to a song from Kanye Wests new album Yeezus and why Kim Kardasian is a petri dish. We will also discuss why Jor-El was the real villian Earth. If theres still time maybe Final Fantasy VII: Lighting Returns will be downloaded by then.

(Rom 3:4 NLT)
People will tell you Superman is not real but that’s not true. Superman is real…His name is Jesus. The Superman of Detective Comics is a make-believe character. The Jesus of the Bible is real.
Super means above. Human means natural. Superhuman means to live and function above the natural, physical world.
Jesus lived and operated above this natural, physical world (Mk. 4:39 NIV) and so should we (John 14:12). Let’s see if Jesus and The Man of Steel have anything in common:
Jesus came from the planet Heaven (Jn. 8:33). Kal-El came from the planet Krypton.
Jesus was sent to the earth by His Father (Jn. 6:38). Kal-El was sent to the earth by his father.
Jesus was raised by a step-dad (Mt. 1:18). Clark Kent was raised by step-parents.
Jesus knew He was the Savior of the world. (John 13:3 NLT). Clark Kent knew he was Superman.
Jesus and Peter (non-Christian) walked on water (Mt. 14:28-29). General Zod, Ursa and Non (evil Kryptonians) walked on water (Superman II).
Jesus would often communicate with His Father in a quiet place (Lk. 22:39). Kal-El would often communicate with his father in a quiet place (Fortress of Solitude).
Jesus had the twelve followers (Mt. 10:2-4); Superman had the Justice League of America:
Batman / David – 1 Sam. 16:8
Wonder Woman / Deborah – Judg. 4:4
Green Lantern / Mordecai – Est. 8:2
Aqua Man / Peter - John 21:7
The Flash / Philip – Acts 8:39
Martian Man Hunter / Samson – Judg. 15:14

Born and raised in Southern California, 3rd Krypton attended private school up until Jr. High and experienced the reality that there is a stifling difference between public vs. private education. 3rd Krypton attended college where he was prepared to function as the BSU President at Santa Ana College. He left the college in the mid 90's.
Being an expert comic book connoisseur, 3rd Krypton has been fueled with a curiosity for the paranormal. Shows such as "Sightings" and "Unsolved Mysteries" provided him with much to consider.
Concerning the paranormal 3rd Krypton has this to say,
"Originally it was just ghosts, UFO's, OOPARTs, Hopi prophecies and the like, and my willingness to absorb tons of disparate info regarding the paranormal. Over time this type of information led me to the conclusion that something is terribly "off" in terms of what we have been taught concerning the nature of reality. I can conclusively state that heavy investigation and research has caused me to come to terms with and reach consensus with the major themes of the truth movement".
3rd Crypton shares much information on his youtube outlet "3rd Krypton". Interestingly enough, his outlet has occasionally been shut down. However, 3rd Krypton's commitment to the dissemination of thought provoking material has been a source of strength and inspiration. 3rd Krytpon is fully committed to sharing as much information as possible concerning the many agendas negatively affecting humanity today.
We are hours away from the release of Man of Steel. In a special 45 minute episode. Siike and Gene discuss the modern age of Superman, from John Byrne's Man of Steel to the New 52.
John Roniotis, an improv comic from the UCB Theater, reviews his favorite Superman story, All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly.
Siike talks about the Man of Steel score by Hans Zimmer, plays a track from the album, and has a heart to heart chat with Superman expert Michael Torre, about how the Last Son of Krypton provided a special, connecting moment between Michael and his father.

The premiere broadcast of Fanboy Friday is going to start with reviews of all of the comic books I received on Free Comic Book Day. Well a few of them anyway, the four books I initially went to FCBD to get. They are Superman Last Son of Krypton, Beware the Batman, Infinity and The Walking Dead. Call in and let me know what you are reading. I am also a diehard Supernatural and Arrow fan. I will be going over the latest episodes for all of you other fans of the show.
