Creating a Spirited Life with Janet Kessenich
Topic: The Consumer Has a Soul: The Whole Person in the Marketplace
When you shop, do you ever feel like you have to leave your soul at the door?
The consumer in our culture is traditionally viewed by marketers as a statistic and a demographic to be analyzed and manipulated. But, marketing expert and author Tracy Carlson understands the consumer is a whole person - one with feelings, intuition, integrity, and an artistic sensibility.
She's identified what's missing from most marketing campaigns and what creates an approach that respectfully treats the consumer as a whole being. We'll discuss how we, as consumers, can recognize the businesses that are bringing the soul into the marketplace on the broadcast of Creating a Spirited Life: The Consumer Has a Soul: The Whole Person in the Marketplace.
Tracy Carlson is Founder & Principal of Right-Brain Brands. She is a seasoned marketing strategist, speaker and advisor who helps companies develop brands that people care about and that inspire loyalty. Tracy has led some of America’s best-known brands (Dove, Hellmann’s, Wisk) and consulted to many more (including General Mills, Rubbermaid, and Pepsi), and has extensive experience advising startups and small businesses as well.
Tracy’s non-traditional background combines equal parts Wharton MBA and unrepentant Yale humanities geek. This hybrid expertise, integrating human-centered right-brain thinking with left-brain analysis and metrics, forms the basis for her new book What Great Brands Know: Unleash Your Right-Brain Genius to Stand Out and Make Customers Care.

Steve welcomes best-selling author Kristine Carlson for a deeply moving and inspirational conversation about love, loss, and her new book, "Heartbroken Open". Kristine Carlson had an idyllic life. She and her husband, Richard, had a romantic marriage, two beautiful daughters, and—thanks to the success of Richard's bestselling Don't Sweat the Small Stuff series—all the comforts of the American Dream. But on December 13, 2006, that perfect story took a sudden turn when, on a typical flight to New York, a pulmonary embolism would take Richard's life, catapulting Kristine into heartbreak and uncertainty. It was the end of life as Kristine knew it and the beginning of a journey through the depths of grief and mourning that would reveal to Kristine her true strength and an immeasurable love that cannot be broken.
This book is a courageously honest memoir. It is the true story of a wife, a mother, a woman forced to come face-to-face with fear, insecurity, and the painful but ultimately precious teachings Kristine Carlson discovered along the way. This wise little book offers a timeless message of inspiration, empowerment, and courage for anyone who has experienced loss or hardship of any kind.
Here is the Situation (See Full Revelation)
You are a bright woman. No one can fool you. Here is the situation. There is a devil, really. He is a spirit (cast out and denied possession of a mortal tabernacle). He is angry and desires yours and my destruction. He has deceived the nations. He takes power in one or both of two main ways. We are placed here on neutral ground. When a person takes pleasure in evil, the devil takes power and deludes that person, and leads them along to destruction, saith the Lord. So by rebellion against God and his ways and will, the devil then takes power. The other main way is through false traditions, which are the errors of the fathers in their rebellion against God and his ways, their mistakes are then handed down in the form of traditions, such as Catholicism, Protestantism, Muhammadanism, etc, etc.
Now, all men and women will be resurrected into two categories: the resurrection of the just and the resurrection of the unjust. Sectarians of whatever stripe fit into the latter. So you will be resurrected, since by one man came death to all men, by one man came life to all men, these recipients having absolutely nothing to do with it. All of these will receive all the heaven they ever thought possible, saith the Lord, but will be separate and single, saith the Lord, since all contracts or expectations not made and entered into through the medium of the Lord's anointed have an end when men are dead. ... All the rest are my servants in eternity. The alternative is the second death. Now all those women whom I desire to be with me I will have as concubines, saith the Lord. There is nothing your Gentile power can do to prevent it, for they cannot raise the dead.
