During his lifetime, legendary martial artist Bruce Lee formulated a complex personal philosophy--a synthesis of Eastern and Western ideals--that extolled the virtues of knowledge and total mastery of one's self. However, most of his philosophical writings could be found only within the personal library of the Bruce Lee estate--until now. "The Warrior Within" is the most comprehensive volume of these teachings, meant to help you apply Lee's philosophies to your own life. This unique guide reveals such life-affirming secrets as:
Seeing the totality of life and putting things into perspective
Understanding the concept of Yin and Yang
Defeating adversity by adapting to circumstances
Tapping into inner spiritual forces to help shape the future
With a foreword by Linda Lee Cadwell and photographs and other memorabilia from Bruce Lee's short but celebrated life, "The Warrior Within" is an engrossing and easy-to-understand guide to the little-explored world of Bruce Lee. John Little has been identified as "one of the foremost authorities on Bruce Lee in the world" by "Black Belt" magazine. He edited a three-volume series for the Bruce Lee estate and has written articles for several publications, including "Men's Fitness, Official Karate," and "Inside Kung Fu.
Modern Combat Masters on DOCRADIO.NET with your Host, Professor Darrell Sarjeant and his Co-Host, Hanshi Dan Vena & Executive Producer Sifu Restita De Jesus are proud to welcome our very special guest tonight, William Eric Eubanks Sensei to the program, Wednesday-October 8th, 2014 at 9 PM EST.
William Eric Eubanks Sensei is a student of Shorei-ryu and Shuri-Ryu of Robert Trias Karate Linages. My current rank is 8th Dan. I have practiced martial arts for 28 years. My current instructor is Lorraine B. Lewis 9th Dan. I have trained with Sensei for 18 years.
My first instructor was Frank Rimmer of Brevard. Rimmer Sensei was a chief investigator for the local police department. During that time I also trained Jujitsu with Riley Ethington of Spartanburg SC. With him we also had Shiatsu therapy lessons. After a period of time Rimmer Sensei decided to close his school and two of his students took it over. Lynn Goldsmith 5th Dan, and Russel Ziegler 6th Dan. (That was in 1992)
I then worked out a special payment program with Lynn and Russel to pay for my lessons and travel. I taught classes for them at the school in Brevard and they paid for us to go to our new instructor in Spartanburg SC, Teresa Sanders 3rd Dan.
I continue to work for Sensei and keep her teachings alive in all who train with us and our martial arts family.
Back to school means alot of things. It means we need to prepare for another year of craziness, great memories, and raising our kids the best we can. It means our children go off into the world again without us on a daily basis (That is good and bad.) And lastly it means we only have 18 weeks until Christmas (10 weeks as of today!) and it's not like moms need anymore stress.
Tonight on Mommy Monday we bring together pretty much eveything that moms need right now. TV Host and product expert Diana Perkovic (most recently of HSN) brings us ecommerce tips for the best early gift-buying we could ever dream of! Plus her insider beauty tips and picks from what's trending. My guest Shervin Ilbeig helps us with preparing our kids for school bullies and our college students for campus safety. Shervin is a sel-defense expert and owner of Dragons Martial Arts karate studio serving Los Angeles families for a decade.
More information and links as always are on my blog for iHeart Moms, along with special events coming next. Read more or sign up to follow us here!
