Already the father of twoteenage sons, fun-loving Kirk enjoys his condo and leisurely lifestyle and struggles with giving his life up as the ultimate bachelor. Laura is a stylish, high achiever who looks at life as  a series of to-do lists, upon which having a baby and buying a house rest firmly at the top. Although the couple enjoys the luxuries their success affords, Laura is trying to be more practical as she hopes to be pregnant and move to the suburbs to start a family soon. Kirk, on the other hand, is accustomed to his life as an overgrown kid with his bachelor pad condo, sports cars and an expensive fish-collecting hobby.

BAMS talks Avery Johnson, and spring football with Kirk McNair

    in Sports

What a difference a week makes! After what was one of the worst weeks in Crimson Tide athletics history, this week has been decidedly better. Avery Johnson's hire has injected excitement into a program that had been marking time for years under Anthony Grant. Alabama's football also had its first scrimmage, and we'll have some information from that affair on tonight's show as well. Finally, we will be talking all of this and more with Luke Robinson and Kirk McNair. The show kicks off at 5:30 with Cary Clark, Drew DeArmond and Thomas Watts. Be there or be Auburn.

Golf Talk Live - with Ken Bishara of Monsta Golf & LPGA Pro Meredith Kirk

    in Golf

    Welcome to “Golf Talk Live!

    Join me with special guests:

Ken Bishara - One of the founders of Monsta Golf Balls.

Monsta Golf started as an idea back in the spring of 2013 by 2 working dads from Boston who love the game of golf. Dave and Ken, the founders of Monsta Golf, realize the key to an exceptional golf game is consistency and the short game.Using the same golf ball while honing your skills is an important factor in being consistent. Almost every brand of golf ball performs differently, especially around the greens. This causes variations in accuracy and performance. Some golf balls are for distance, some for spin. The top performing brands currently on the market that are constructed to do both, retail for $48/dozen or more. Golf can be expensive enough!

Later in the show I interview:

Meredith Kirk – LPGA Teaching Professional, Owner of Meredith Kirk Golf & Junior Golf Exchange, plus 2014 Mrs. South Carolina.

Meredith Kirk is a LPGA certified golf instructor and is passionate about teaching golf. Along with teaching golf, Meredith is a media consultant with nationally recognized organizations. With 16 years teaching experience with top PGA and LPGA instructors and players. Voted one of the ‘Most Beautiful Women in Golf 2014-2015′ by Golf.com and ‘Best Golf Teachers Under 40′ by Golf Digest 2014-2015 and Mrs. South Carolina 2014.

Golf Talk Live is available for download on iTunes, and at Stitcher.com.

Frat House Sports' Clean-Up Hitters #7

    in Sports

Just three weeks into the MLB season, and there are already some major, major stories coming out of major league baseball and Frat House Mike along with “Frat Boys” Sean and Caleb are breaking it all down and chatting it up.

    (1) Adam Wainwright is out for the season and suddenly many are calling for “universal DH” . . . are you kidding me? (2) The Los Angeles Angels have ended the Josh Hamilton drama by sending him back to the Texas Rangers. Is that the best thing that could happen to him? (3) The Miami Marlins proved one more time that they are the worst sports franchise in the country. (4) Baseball brawls seem to be happening more and more frequently, and MLB may have recognized it as well by handing down some hefty penalties and fines.

But, the biggest and saddest stories are going on down in Baltimore and the “Clean-Up Hitters” are joined by long-time Frat House Sports friend, Chris Heidel of HerbFM Sports Radio out of the Baltimore-region. We’ll be talking about the recent events; the Baltimore Orioles; and whether the events are actually giving the team a black-eye.

We’re talking fantasy – peanuts and Cracker Jack – the Hall of Fame & Barry Bonds – and, Kirk Gibson.

This show’s so good; it just needs one more thing – YOU, and out of protest, some peanuts and Cracker Jack . . . and your phone calls at 347 – 826 – 9964 with the “Clean-Up Hitters” of the Frat House Sports Radio Network.

Tom Ufert Live Presents: Tom's Take - Interview with Pastor Cyd

    in LGBT

This is not a “Blue” or “Red” program.  This is an independent program designed to convey informative opinions for the sole purpose of broadening minds,  challenging pre-conceptions and inviting a vibrant discourse in the vein of a marketplace of ideas.  All participants and listeners are put on notice that this is a venue dedicated to mutual respect.  In the end, regardless of individual opinions, everyone is bound by one simple rule…acceptance of the concept that we must respect each other while agreeing to disagree.

Every reasonable attempt will be made to convey factual and verifiable information.  This is not the place for outlandish claims or personal attacks. While questions or subjects of discussion may very well be controversial, provocative and indeed “in your face,” guests and listeners can be assured that “gotcha” moments are unintended.

On this episode of Tom's Take with Host Tom Ufert will be a very powerful interview with Pastor Cyd.

Rev. Cynthia Andrews-Looper (“Pastor Cindy” as she is affectionately called by those who love her), is a native of Greenville, SC. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Ministry from Southern Wesleyan University. Pastor Cindy’s personal encounters with God’s love are the fire that fuels her ministry. She says, “One day, in my early thirties, I came face to face in spirit with a holy God and found an unconditional love that changed me deeply and inspired me to share this hope with others. It is that passion to share God’s love that keeps me alive spiritually. We serve a God whose arms are open to anyone who will walk into them. I want individuals to find God’s loving embrace through my ministry.

Admiral Kirk, Commander Spock & Capn' Crunch

    in Comedy

This week we join in the fun of the ongoing Kirk/Spock feud, which apparently will go on even when they're both dead. We discuss the origins of the sports anthem Rock & Roll Part 2 and talk about President Clinton's hilarious portrait with a familiar shadow and literally -- everything in between. It's another great episode of the Dave Juskow show. :)
