American Sovereignty Radio: Highlight Rachel Blasingame

    in Politics

Rachel Blasingame was 16 years old when she was killed by a drunk driver on a Mesquite, TX freeway, May 30, 2003. Since that day, she has continued to make an important impact on many lives, and in many ways.

Rachel was involved with the Shattered Dreams program. She wanted to be part of persuading students not to drink and drive.  It was ironic that an intoxicated driver took part in ending her life.

Rachel was a straight A, National Honor Society student. She shared her talents through her appreciation of music and theater. Rachel read her bible under the covers at night and made notes in it from cover to cover.  She read until the pages fell out and she had to laminate the outside pages.

Her true talent, however, was realized through her selfless desire to help other people.

Her spirit of giving included participating at Special Olympics, homeless shelters, and in children's libraries.

This year marks the 12th Annual Rachel Blasingame Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament. It will be held at Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Rockwall, Texas on Monday, June 1, 2015.

The Rachel Blasingame Scholarship Fund <~(Please Donate) assists deserving High School Seniors in meeting tuition requirements at Abilene Christian University where Rachel was headed. These efforts have raised over $160,000 and assisted 142 freshman. Her spirit continues to live on by fulfilling college dreams for others.

Join us as we discuss Rachel's story with her mom, Julie Blasingame.

Join Jennifer Montrose (AL), Dan Wilson (FL), Kip Allen (MO) and Scott Osborn (TX) on American Sovereignty Radio!
