Tonight I'm thrilled to bring back the delightful Kimberlin Brown. Fans of "The Young and the Restless" and the sister show, "The Bold and the Beautiful" loved to hate the evil 'Sheila Carter' for years, because actor Kimberlin Brown played her character impeccably. Since then, the versatile actress has been seen in the film "Five Hour Friends," on television in "All My Children," and the web series, "The Bay," as well as the summer special, "Far From The Bay." But many of her fans don’t realize that Kimberlin has a great talent for interior design and has been a respected industry professional for more than twenty years. In her new series, "Dramatic Designs with Kimberlin Brown," she will be showcasing that part of her life on The Design Network, a web-based network launched in January of this year. It features inspirational and entertaining videos related to home design and fashion. Kimberlin's first show premiered on October 14th, and features a dramatic Cabo San Lucas custom vacation home. See her debut show here: http://www.thedesignnetwork.com/viewSeries.php?series_id=46 and be sure to sign up at The Design Network and post a review. I'm sure you'll agree that we all want to see many more shows from Kimberlin in the future. Sign up here: http://www.thedesignnetwork.com/index.php
I am thrilled to welcome Kimberlin back for her 4th visit, and her first in two years. Kimberlin is well known for her memorable villainess role of Sheila Carter on both "The Young and the Restess," and on "The Bold and the Beautiful" recurring for many years on both, from 1990, and last seen in 2006 on "The Young and the Restless." Presumably killed off, but as all daytime drama viewers know, we can never be sure. If fans have their way, she will rise from the dead- again! Kimberlin appeared as a judge on "All My Children," in 2010. In 2011, Brown began to appear in Gregori J. Martin's web-series "The Bay". She portrays Dr. Grace Drum, a psychiatrist. Brown first appeared in a summer special "Far From The Bay", and continued on in the series' second season.
Kimberlin Brown is best known for her iconic daytime character on CBS Daytime, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful as the EVIL Sheila Carter and we chat with her as we look back on her iconic character plus what she is working on currently including The Bay (web series)
The one and the only, Kimberlin Brown, who best known for her two decade stint as the devilish and evil yet misunderstood Sheila Carter on The Young and the Restless/The Bold and the Beautiful, is returning to On-air with Douglas to follow up from our last visit over a year ago. She has a new show she is working on, we will touch base on that and what we can expect from the future and a little blast from the past as we dish some Sheila Carter.
The iconic daytime villain to beat all villains, Ms. Sheila Carter played by the legendary Kimberlin Brown, joins us tonight to talk about her career on Y&R/B&B, plus AMC, The Bay, her new short film, The Necklace plus her new film! Don't miss this rare opportunity to call in to speak to the one and only, Sheila Carter.

Host Deardra Shuler talks to Charles Bobbit, James Brown friend and manager. Bobbit will talk about his rags to riches story with Deardra. Bobbit also managed Michael Jackson and was the personal advisor to President Omar Bongo of Gabon. Born in 1930, in the back woods of North Carolina, Charles was whisked to Brooklyn, NY by his eldest sister after the loss of his mother to cancer. During his young adult years, he worked as a porter. He later worked for the New York City Transit Authority, laying rails at night. Later he deemed the entertainment industry was an escape from menial labor, although he could neither sing nor dance.
Mr. Bobbit’s first introduction to the realization of his dream was when he first saw Mr. James Brown, “The Godfather of Soul” perform at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NY. He was awestruck and proclaimed to his wife that he would one day work as Brown’s Personal Manager. Although thwarted originally, by 1965, he won a job as James Brown's valet and later became Brown's friend and manager up to the day Brown died. The book, "Making it Happen," tells Brown and Bobbitt's story. It was Mr Bobbit who gave James Brown the title, “Godfather of Soul.” Bobbit was instrumental in the arrangement of “Say it Loud, I’m Black and I’m Proud.” and the musical scores for the movie, “Black Caesar,” starring Fred Williamson. Bobbit met President Omar Bongo of Gabon and worked with Bongo's son cutting a few albums. The family hired Bobbit as their advisor taking Bobbit to heights that he couldn’t even imagine. He later worked with Michael Jackson becoming his friend and confidante.
Join me on Saturday, July 12th when I 'chat' with author Travis Hunter. Travis is a best selling author who keeps us in stitches on Facebook with stories about his son.
About the author:
I was born Florence, South Carolina. I grew up playing football and basketball like most of the other kids around my way. I never thought I'd be an author. I always hated reading and God forbid writing. So being the smart woman that she is, my mother used reading as a form of punishment for me when I acted up. Little did I know she was planting a very important seed. One that would one day turn into a career. I decided to start writing because I couldn't find any good books with positive African American male leads. So I decided to take a leap of faith and wrote my first novel, The Hearts of Men. I self published THOM and after selling a little over six thousand copies in about two months, I was approached by Random House. They republished The Hearts of Men. After that, I was bitten by the writing bug and now I'm on a role. Married But Still Looking, Trouble Man, A One Woman Man, Something to Die For, A Family Sin, Dark Child and the latest, Momma's a Virgin. I have three young adult novels; Two The Hard Way, At the Cross Roads, On the Come Up and the forthcoming novel about bullies; The Last Laugh. My novels are all quick reads. I could kill lots of trees with pages and pages of fluff but I prefer to give you mostly the meat and potatoes of the story. Im very passionate about my non-profit THe Hearts of Men Foundation. (www.theheartsofmen.org) Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the work.
