Buck Sixx is a country/rock band that stems from generations of family musicians. They all started at an early age playing along with their dads, grandfathers, cousins and uncles. As musicians, they have played with lots of other bands, but the strong family bond has brought them back together to form Buck Sixx. They play original songs written by the band with a blend of Country/Rock. The combination of lyric and music continues to grow the band’s fan base. Brothers, cousins, and Friends they hail from Columbia, Tennessee, just forty miles south of Nashville.. “Buck Sixx’s debut record is one of the strongest freshmen records I’ve ever heard. There truly isn’t a bad song on the record and there isn’t a song that would turn fans off. Buck Sixx successfully showcases who they are as individuals, as a group, as musicians, as vocalists, and as songwriters and it’s a showcase that is uniquely fresh. It’s a package that will allow them to be recognized on many different avenues in the country music industry.” – Thatsmusictome.com

Friday, March 20th, we witnessed a new moon ‘supermoon’ total solar eclipse and the spring equinox falling on the same day, which is a rare astronomical event which has the potential to stir up some very powerful energetic shifts for our personal and collective transformations. The vernal equinox has long been celebrated by nearly all world cultures as a time of rebirth, fertility and new opportunities. There is a symbolic meaning here, shared by our histories and collective consciousness reflecting renewal and hope.
TGHE will discuss the FX of the astronomical, cultural, and energetic perspective of this event, and look at the ways of cleaning your "house." Also, we will touch on some of the issues of the week, and a look ahead to Chicago Politics as Early Voting starts on Monday.

Join me Host Hezekiah L. Montgomery and my Co-Host Nichelle Johnson as we welcome Joi Ford of the Joyriffice Band to our show. Tune in as we learn more about this phenomenal woman who's taken the art of writing children’s educational songs to the next level.
Joi Ford has been a school teacher in Upstate New York and Baltimore Maryland for 24 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelors degree in Education and Spanish. She is the proud mother of five beautiful children and two grandchildren, who sing with her. Her love of teaching and for music has lend itself to help shape her destiny to becoming a children songwriter and soon to be author of children books. It is no surprise that her love of music would lead her to form the Joyriffic Band in 2011, along with her key board player Mark Rose. She would later add to the group others singers such as Judy Shepard(2014), Cyrinna Amanfo, Neveah Harps, Jeremiah Harps and Zoe . Her musical songs teach and warm the hearts of children and adults alike. Her gift to write music has been influenced by artist such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Ella Jenkins, Hap Palmer and many other song writers from her childhood growing up in Ossining New York.
The Joyriffic Band will release their first Cd in December of 2014

On his local show on traditional radio this week Henrik Lockhart will bring to his audience the Danish Polcalypso Band with Kazio Kierpaul, a Dane with musical calypso roots and with songs of Crucian-born James "Jamesie" Brewster, of course.
Accordong to Henrik, "Next week we will presnet an All-Danish show featuring Kazio's other Band Paulski og den nye verdensorden who just released their first album... their first single went to #1 in Denmark!!!"
All this in keeping the Virgin Islands' celebration of Transfer Day on March 31st, 98 years since the United States bought the Virgin Islands (then known as the Danish West Indies) from Denmark.
Henrik will share the who, what, how, what, and where behind his show as a local disc jockey.
Looking back at a previous episode where TGHE explored how fear influences decisions made in todays society. We will look at the relationship of police and the community in which it has sworn to serve and protect. But with a higher chance of being shot by police, what steps are being taken by the community to reduce these chances? Tonight, we begin another chapter of acknowledging people who are making a difference in their community through proper mentoring programs.
Tune in tonight for a very powerful episode, on a special night, beginning at 7p. As we welcome Speaker Mack D McGhee. He discusses the state of young black men in America and what can be done to give them hope, hold them accountable, and reduce the fear they have for their lives. Listen on your phone at 818-691-7412 or online http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thegreenhousefx/2015/03/18/44-the-fx-of-accountability-and-fear-of-life
