AESA EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AGENCIES
THE NEW SCHOOLS INITIATIVE FOR CREATIVITY & LEADERSHIP
AESA President Rich McBride with NCESD Technology Director Pete Phillips and Suzanne Reister, NCESD HR Director
The state of the education system, whether it's public or charter, is in serious need of help. For this reason we are replaying this show again to raise awareness of a few of the issues going on in charter schools. Kicking off the show is "Style Avenue" with Arielle. She will get you up to date on what's going on in the fashion world whether it's on the runway, at an event or on the streets. Then tune in as Mr. Yancey discusses "What's going on in charter schools?". Regardless of whether it's public, private or charter schools, our students deserve a nurturing, stable learning environment. Unfortunately, that is not the case in some schools that are suppose to be an alternative to public schools. What are your thoughts about this?
Sandra Muldoon, co-founder of the Second Amendment Women Shooting Club and NRA Director, and Shyanne Roberts, the 10 year old who is the next rising star on the Women's Competitive Shooting Circuit and the new face of "Don't Tread on Me," will be joining "Common Sense" Host Sue Ann Penna to discuss women, kids and guns.
Shyanne came into the media spotlight after she testified in Trenton opposing a bill that would limit magazines to 10 rounds.
Dealing with firearms and defending the Second Amendment can bring about heated debate, but these two groups are among the growing number of gun owners and participants in the shooting sports.
We will be separating fact from fiction when it comes to Women, Kids & Guns.
Do your toddlers, young children or teens have trouble managing their emotions?
Do your children fight with their siblings and engage in sibling rivalry?
If you answered yes to any of those questions then please join Dr Rosina McAlpine and Dr Robyn Mills as they explore the many practical tools you can use to turn tantrums and fights into a learning opportunity to teach your children many life skills like:
emotional intelligence: understanding and managing their emotions
social responsibility: being caring and sharing people
The more they learn about life in your home with you – the less you have to worry about your children when they are out in the world and don’t have you there to help them.
As always it will be a fun show with positive parenting advice, resources, tools and tips you can use in your home and share with your friends

We also talked about some of the issues going on in the ICAN charter school system. Well it's time for an update to find out what happened since that show. Tune in as Mr. Yancey talks about the education rally that took place, as well as speak to a parent who tried to attend a open house that one of the ICAN schools was hosting, but was turned away. Feel free to call in with your questions and comments at (914)338-0665.
