Today, marketing is not defined by how many people you reach but by how many people you influence.
Marketing is not about print circulars, or online ads, it’s about connecting customers with solutions that meet their needs.
Customers are connected, influential, and they expect that you engage with them – it’s not an option anymore.
Customers who are informed, and connected to your brand, are more likely to shop with you. Creating loyalty doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a process, which requires listening to what your customers are saying about your brand, and reacting to their sentiment whether it’s good or bad.
The challenge for brand marketers today isn’t just how-to keep up with the evolution of the customer but being a storyteller within a media company.

So, you have published a book or 20 and you think you want to make money as a keynote speaker? Are you serious? No, I mean "raw and real" serious? How can you know if you have what it takes to be invited before someone else's audience? What would you charge as a keynote speaker? Would you still aspire to be a keynote speaker before a live captive audience if you had to pick up your own tab? How can you know what keynote speaking venue is right for you and your unique message? What if you were contracted for a keynote presentation - would you know how to respond? Would you be prepared to overnight your professional produced "Press/Media Kit?" Do you know what materials must be included in your "Press/Media Kit?" How do you go about landing your first keynote speaking event? That is our focus on this edition of, “The Strategist Radio LIVE."
[itvt] is pleased to present an audio recording of the TVOT 2015 keynote by Albie Hecht, General Manager of HLN. The keynote was described in the show brochure as follows:
"Albie Hecht is leading HLN's efforts to transform itself into what it terms 'the first all-screens home for the best social news and lifestyle content in the world.' And it seems that the network's strategy of targeting an audience of 'Millennials and the Millennial-minded' is already finding success: over the past year or so, it has attracted a younger viewership by three years in its median audience age, and is enjoying improved ratings among the 24-54 and 18-49 demographics.
In this keynote presentation, Hecht will explain how HLN is reinventing itself as a social and participatory network that appeals to Millennials and other younger viewers by--among other things--encouraging viewers to interact with its programming, developing specific content for each of the platforms frequented by those viewers, and sourcing not only stories but on-air talent from social media. In addition, he will cast light on television's re-emergence as a third screen."
