12:00 noon est to listen in to our internet broadcast on the phone: 718-305-6322 Our broadcast to day on blogtalkradio.com /don-durant will highlight some of the ways the people of the Village of Hempstead, NY are being disrespected. We scoff at the actions of political leaders in other communities, but we fail to examine those leaders closer to home. The Mayor and Trustees of the Vilalge held several fraudulent public hearings on the sale of the Village assets in the 279 acre downtown area to a single developer who still has not submitted site plans on what he plans to build. Buildings are being torn down and demolition has already begun. The essential details of the sale have not been revealed nor has the actual list of properties to be sold and the price to be paid by the developer. The funds raised by the sale it has been hidden will not go back to the taxpayers but to a fund managed by the Community Development Agency, made up of the Mayor and Trustees. Major buildings included to be sold: The Police Station, The Library, The Code Inforcement buildings, 18 Parking Lots...and on and on...
Corporations Are People, And They Have More Rights Than You... Tune in at 12:30 pm est blogtalkradio.com /don-durant to hear our broadcast or any of our archived programs....To listen on your phone while we are live on air...718-305-6322
So while a business corporation can't go to church, fast on Yom Kippur, or travel to Mecca for Ramadan, it can still go to court and, on the basis of religious freedom, be given all the rights of a Person. Hobby Lobby is just such a corporation, with more than $73 million retirement funds invested in Contraceptive manufacturers, how can they rightly stand on teh ground of religious opposition???
Doesn't Clay Bennett's family own the Oklahoman?
I believe that is the case.
But whatever the case, that was a low blow by the newspaper this morning printing a front page headline that read: "Mr. Unreliable."
I have a headline for Scott Brooks and his strategy in Game 5, which you can hear in this podcast with WHBQsports56 in Memphis. I think you will like it. The hosts, Greg and Eli, loved it.
And as far as the Durant headline goes, there is a corollary to be drawn to a story that appeared in the Orlando Sentinel in July, 1996. It helped lead to the departure of Shaquille O'Neal from Central Florida.
More on that, and what it might mean regarding KD's future (Lakers?) in this podcast. Enjoy.

Our broadcast today on blogtalkradio.com /don-durant will focus on our young men and women going back to Iraq. Todays Broadcast on bl;ogtalkradio.com /don-durant will focus on the proposed Immunity offered up by the Department of Justice for the Bush Administration....stating that they as an elected body can not be held liable for going to war. Why is it that being led into war on bogus terms and false information is not enough to prevent Immunity? The GOP is yelling loudly to Impeach the President, based on nothing at all...why is this allowed? Join us or listen in on your phone: 718-305-6322
