Dameon Aranda and Gabe Aranda started their first band in the 5th grade. They were inspired by their parents favorite musicians: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Cat Stevens. On their first release, the self-taught musicians worked with the Grammy nominated production team of Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello. 2009 saw Aranda’s first charting single, “Still in the Dark,” break into the Top 30 chart for active rock radio across the country. That same year, Dameon Aranda received an unexpected phone call from Kelly Clarkson, asking if she could cover two of Aranda’s songs on her album, All I Ever Wanted-including the high-energy in your face rebel song, “Whyyawannabringmedown.” This song was selected by the WWE as the theme song for the pay per view event, The Bash, and “All I Ever Wanted” became the title track of Clarkson’s album. Soon after, Aranda released their second album, Stop the World, which was produced by Grammy nominated producer, Johnny K, (Disturbed, Staind, Sevendust and Drowning Pool.) They embarked on a nationwide tour with Daughtry and 3 Doors Down. There are elements of “Stop the World” on Aranda’s forthcoming release, Not the Same. The band is taking their life experiences, the changes they have gone through and channeling all the emotional feelings into a collection of songs that will introduce fans to a rebirth of Aranda. The 11 new songs, including one stripped down acoustic and one self proclaimed “disco-y pseudo rock track”, are each their own piece to a larger story about a journey that overcomes darkness. Not the Same will be your own personal light at the end of the tunnel. Aranda brings their message of hope and optimism to their audience. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/arandaband

Many musicians experience a defining moment that inspires them to pick up an instrument. For Bad Seed Rising singer and guitarist Francheska Pastor, it happened after watching a television broadcast of Green Day’s American Idiot tour at 12-years-old. Francheska enrolled in Maryland’s Let There Be Rock School in 2011 where she first met Mason Gainer who traded in his Guitar Hero controller for the real thing after discovering a box in the basement hiding his old man’s Guns N’ Roses and Bad Brains CDs. Rounded out by Louey Peraza on bass and drummer Aiden Marceron, the quartet started to tirelessly rehearse outside of the program, honing their chops at an impressive pace. Soon, they were on stage in front of thousands at the M3 Rock Festival or grinding it out at local gigs. Barely freshmen in high school, their ages belied an intense musicianship and immediate knack for a hook. Roadrunner Records caught wind, and they became “the youngest band in history to sign to the label.” In between touring with the likes of Halestorm, Daughtry and 3 Doors Down, the group released their 2014 debut EP, Charm City. That strong introduction paved the way for 2015’s A Place Called Home EP. Produced by Drew Fulk [Motionless In White], the first single “It’s My Time” kick starts with a raucous riff before Francheska’s soaring and soulful voice takes the spotlight before a bombastic gang vocal. The EP closes out with “Disappear,” which highlights the group’s kinetic chemistry as they lock into a hammering and hypnotic groove. Behind everything Heartist do lies one simple goal: to bring real, honest emotion back into heavy music. Writing songs that are equal parts anthemic grandeur, brawny metalcore-infused heaviness, and chorus-driven radio rock nirvana, the quintet wear their influences on their collective sleeve while being far more than the sum of their parts. Formed in 2011, the members of Heartist – vocalist Bryce Beckley, guitarist Tim Koch which were rounded out by guitarist Robby Devito, bassist Evan Ranallo and drummer Matt Marquez - walked away from college educations and secure employment to focus one hundred percent on music. They subsequently spent many months honing their sound, determined to create something that stood out on its own merits, and in no rush to leap back into the scene that failed to excite them. At the same time, they displayed a certain savvy in creating an online buzz that intrigued and lured potential fans without even playing a single show, a tactic that paid off - and then some. “We also got lucky, because our A & R at Roadrunner books bands at our hometown venue, which we didn’t realize, we just asked him to put us on! We really lucked out - we played that one show and got signed.” In 2012 the band dropped their Nothing You Didn’t Deserve EP, subsequently touring with the likes of Architects UK and Enter Shikari, plus a European run supporting label mates Killswitch Engage. While Nothing You Didn’t Deserve was a solid release in its own right, it only hinted at what the band were capable of, and with debut full-length Feeding Fiction they lay it all on the line. The band enlisted Producer David Bendeth (Of Mice & Men, Bring Me The Horizon) to record their full-length album with. Lancaster, Pennsylvania is the sort of town of which there are many hundred all across America: post-industrial, blue collar and, on occasion, more than a little bleak. As is so often the case though, it is in these relative backwards towns that authentic, compelling creativity truly thrives - the monotony of the landscape punctuated by brilliant flares of art. FROM ASHES TO NEW are one such flare; a thoroughly modern rock band wielding both a state-of-the-art sound and an old-as-the-hills work ethic. Formed barely two years ago by vocalist, programmer and creative mastermind Matt Brandyberry, the sextet consists of the cream of Lancaster’s underground scene. With the assistance of producer Grant McFarland, FATN set about molding their rap/rock hybrid into a sky-scrapingly monolithic proposition. And if recent four-track EP Downfall was a glistening opening gambit, then the forthcoming full-length album will radiate with the fire of a thousand suns. A fearsome mix of contemporary metalcore crunch and soul-searching rap, the band are already punching with a heavyweight strength that belies their so far brief career. It’s a potent approach galvanized further by the background from which the band all come from. Blessed with honesty, integrity, grit, determination and, most vitally, a genuinely devastating arsenal of gut-mangling tunes – FROM ASHES TO NEW have got all the ingredients to turn your world, and the entire scene, on its head. Dieting and weight loss typically mean deprivation especially when food and social meals also satisfy emotional desires and entertainment purposes. However, once an individual has attained a healthy metabolism, healthy muscle to fat ratio (BMI-Body Mass Index), quality sleeping, regular activities, and an easy as well as conscious food selection, then social eating, eating for entertainment or delight or even the periodic emotional eating does not typically cause weight gain problems. So, lets configure weight loss programs which actually promote a good metabolism along side periodic emotional eating moments. Dr. Carol Francis, author of over 10 books with "If You Can't Stop Eating, Maybe You're Hungry: Reset Your Cravings" and "Evolving Women's Consciousness: Dialogues with 21st Century Women" are two books most related to weight loss and conscious living related to eating. Dr. Carol Francis can be contacted at drcarolfrancis.com or at 310-543-1824 as a Clinical Psychologist, Marriage, Family & Child Therapist and Certified Medical Hypnotherapist, practicing in Los Angeles Beach Cities communities.
If you can't be with us this morning at 200 2nd Avenue in Opelika, then listen LIVE starting at 11:00 AM CST. Today, we will address the idolatry of Pope Francis and the Roman Catholic Church and what the Bible has to say about the sin of idolatry. It is time for the true church to wake up and expose this counterfeit from Rome. It is sickening to watch so-called Christian pastors like Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, and TD Jakes gush like weak-knee school girls over Pope Francis. The Bible tell us not to even eat with idolaters that call themselves Christians. The Pope and Roman Catholics do WORSHIP Mary, the Pope, and statues and images. And the final Pope will push the world to worship the coming Antichrist. It is time for true Christians to stop making nice with the Great Whore of Babylon! To listen by phone call 347-884-8566.
