“If Marge Simpson met Dolly Parton and went dancing with Ziggy Stardust, it wouldn’t come close to what you’ll see. Why now…why not? Why me…who else?” said Boy George. In this episode, Nicholas Snow breaks news of a new reality show starring the 80's pop music icon.
Boy George and Bunim/Murray Productions (BMP), producers of longstanding reality franchises Real World, Project Runway and Keeping Up with the Kardashians, are partnering with Boy George’s Manager Paul Kemsley and award-winning producer Cindy Cowan to develop a reality docu-series chronicling the icon’s move from London to Los Angeles.

Join us this week on Christian Devotions SPEAK UP! when Scott interview Beth Saadati.
Beth Saadati has sown her time and heart into the lives of hundreds of teens—and reaped an abundance of laughter and life in return. A certified high school English teacher, she is currently teaching composition classes, homeschooling her son (age nine) and daughter (age twelve), and crafting a novel.
For more than two decades Beth has taught in public school, private school, and home school settings. Jenna, Beth's effervescent firstborn daughter, was her favorite teenage student before Beth lost her, without warning, to suicide resulting from bullying. On January 2, 2013, the world as Beth had known it forever changed.
Now, through speaking and writing, Beth encourages others to fight through heartbreak and hurt as she transparently journeys through the painful aftermath of her beloved daughter's death. Four of Beth’s stories have been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul books in 2015. She was also awarded first place in the SC chapter of American Christian Fiction Writers' first five pages contest.
Beth is working on a young adult novel, Breathe, based on Jenna's true story. At the 2015 Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference (BRMCWC), this book received the BelieversTrust Beyond the Steeple Award for the work deemed to hold the greatest potential to impact a mainstream audience.
This episode of Next Fan Up is dedicated to the NFL's decision to maintain Brady's suspension at 4 games. Patrick, the Patriot Superfan, defends his team's honor against the Ravens' Superfan (Rex), the new Dolphins' Superfan (Ron), and the Eagles' Superfan (Sitko).

A recent report said that two gay NFL players are refusing to come out publicly as gay because they don't want a lot of media attention for any kind of big announcement. It's an interesting revelation that both reflects and belies what we think we know about professional athletes.
On the one hand they want all the attention they can get to maximize exposure. Exposure means more of the all-mighty dollar that so many of them seek in the short span of their careers. On the flip side, we often hear that athletes don't want to be known as the "gay athlete" but just want to be known for their athletic accomplishments.
We discuss the idea of the media keeping athletes in the closet, and also the impact that big-name professional athletes can have when they come out publicly.
Plus, we have the growing attention being paid to trans issues in sports and the generosity of one young gay professional athlete named Robbie Rogers.
Man Up tonight 07/28/2015
Part 2 N.O.W. leaders of tomorrow
Topic: The Struggle
MAN UP THE MOVEMENT
Man Up simply means: I AM (personal) no longer relying on personal abilities but on God’s complete guidance. Knowing that if the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighted in his way – Psalm 37:23
I AM holding myself accountable dedicated and committed to a life of constant change and growth.
N.O.W. is the time that I AM going to regain my birthrights in God with the standard that I AM no longer operating with a double mind (James 1:8) but I AM operating with the mind of CHRIST (Phil 2:5) that is within me ~

What is an Activist?
A person who sees an injustice in the world and works hard to fix or right the injustice, but in the 21st century it seems it’s usually a false sense of self-importance. “Wait, what an injustice in the world…that’s just wrong…I’m going to like that page, or “That one is really heart wrenching and it hurts me…I got to more than just like that one…I’m going to make it my status.” And activism is not just buying apparel to support the cause so that you look cool. Its east to be an activist these days, Right? All you need is a computer, a mouse and lots of FaceBook friends so that you can broadcast to a large audience every time you like a page or make a nonsense comment. What if all your clothes were stolen and your FaceBook page were to be deleted? The hard truth is: Activism isn’t about the T-shirt, sticker, or the bracelet you bought. It’s not even what you talk about on the internet all the time, unless you are actively doing something about it! Being an activist means you “Join The Fight!” Being an activist is; knowing what support really means and your willingness to bear the weight of something…even if it is un-cool.
