Stalin gave the order to execute 25,700 Polish Officers and Intelligentsia, and the NKVD, most of whom were jews, carried out the order. In 1943, when German Soldiers advanced into the Katyn Forest area, local townspeople informed them of the massacre.
Germany requested the Red Cross to examine the exhumed remains and report their findings to the world. More than 4,500 were found in a mass grave at Katyn, all having a gunshot in the back of the head.
The Western News Media fell silent. What were they hiding? Why were they hiding it? Are there any parallels to our news media of today?

The Voice of Change welcomes AMos Clifford to speak on: Eros in the outdoors: the healing practice of forest bathing.
Amos Clifford is a wilderness guide, deep nature connection mentor, and ecotherapist living in Sonoma County. He is a leading advocate in the United States for the practice known in Japan as shinrin yoku, or “forest bathing.” Amos has been leading people into natural settings for over 40 years, developing ways to quickly connect people with an ancestral awareness of the more-than-human world. He holds a masters in counseling from the University of San Francisco and is the founder of Sky Creek Dharma Center, Infinite Wild, the Center for Restorative Process, and shinrin-yoku.org.
Forest bathing, known as “shinrin yoku” in Japan, is the practice of opening our senses to the natural environment for an immersive experience with a wide range of research-validated healing effects. But does it also have implications for sustainability? Amos Clifford, the presenter, thinks so. “The foundation of sustainability is not in discovering new technologies; it is in re-establishing our relationships with nature,” Clifford says. This program will reveal a powerful set of practices for promoting wellness in people and the environment.

LRFF is working to solve climate change and lost resources by restoring the tropical forests in the "lungs of the world".
Climate change is our continuing topic. It's being caused by human activity not volcanoes, solar activity or a universal conspiracy. This is a platform for everyone to tell us your views on cc, ask questions about this most important issue. The majority of people are very uninformed about cc because it has become unmentionable in the mainstream media. Talking about it is the first step to solving it.
As always great roots and culture music plus interesting Caribbean news and events.
