Barbara Hall, The Interview
My name is Barbara Ann Hall. I was born and raised in Linden, New Jersey. In June of 2000 I moved to Alabama, where my true journey with God began. In 2007 I began to write the stories of the God’s Hands, My Hands Short Story Collection. They came to me as a special gift from God… and I say that because none were premeditated. I had no idea what each story would become, I would simply sit to write with only a title in mind, and from there God allowed me to create this amazing collection of touching stories! He is the one who took me places and introduced me to our characters, for I didn’t know who we would meet, where we were going until we got there, or what my mission would be! I literally just started to type, and the first word formed the first sentence, the first sentence formed the first paragraph and from there flowed an entire story… without pause or hesitation! And the end result was just as much a surprise and a blessing to me, as to any other reader! Therefore, God is truly the author of my journey! As each character was introduced, I named them after members of my family and friends. Not that the characters held any connection to their personalities, for each character is very uniquely themselves. But because I felt as if God blessed me with the opportunity to personalize each story, and what better way than to name the characters than after the people in my life… for after all, in our circle of family and friends are truly found the characters of our lives!
