The Ruby Brooch
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. ~Anaïs Nin Can a 21st century paramedic find her heart's desire on the other side of time? As the lone survivor of a car crash that killed her parents, paramedic Kit MacKlenna makes a startling discovery that further alters her life. A faded letter and a well-worn journal reveal that she was abandoned as a baby and the only clues to her identity are a blood-splattered shawl, a locket that bears a portrait of a nineteenth-century man, and a Celtic brooch with mystical powers.

KATHERINE WHITE HAS always loved gardening and always had a large garden, both flowers and vegetables. Before I retired I had begun to research medicinal plants, and had planted several in my yard. After retirement I began my studies in earnest. I have studied several years with Beverly McFarland, a local herbalist who teaches here on our mountain, about how to identify and use as medicine the plants that grow locally. I have received certificates for her apprenticeship program. I have also received a certificate for Dr. Tieraona Low Dog's program 'Foundations in Herbal Medicine'. I have studied with Rosemary Gladstar, and twice gone for a weeklong program of herbal and spiritual study to Cuernavaca, Mexico at CEDEHC. I consider myself an herbalist, and a continuing student of herbal medicine. I grow many of the plants that I use in my medicines, and I feel my personal relationship with my garden and these plants enhances the power of the medicine. I have given many presentations on medicinal herbs and medicine making.
I am an Elder in Kalpulli Teocalli Ollin, and have been with Maestra Laura for 7 yrs. both as apprentice and healer. (a kalpulli is a community, in this case , of healers who work in the traditional style of Mexico) I lead ceremonies and rituals, do spiritual cleansings, platicas (heart to heart talks), herbal consultations, and facilitate the temazcal (Mexican style sweatlodge). I am also a Reiki practitioner and do chakra balancing work.
For several years I have pursued independent study of ancient Celtic spiritualism and traditions, and conduct private ceremonies in the Celtic tradition.
I am also a published poet and a multi-media artist.
Charlotte View presents its newest project 'Conversations' with your host Claudia Pureco and the guest of the day. This time I have invited Lauren Logan to the conversation and to launch this project to share our genuine thoughts as they emerge in free conversations with each other (and whoever 'jumps' into the conversation 805-830-8344)
Charlotte View host, Claudia Pureco, has gained so much inspiration through her conversations with some quite remarkable people, with her own spiritual self and with her personal relationships. It is while having these conversations that much information has come through. Many times the thought of putting these conversations into the show has presented itself, only to be sent back to a later time. Now is the time.
Most of the time, what we need to help us through the struggles in our lives is not the advice of an expert but the wisdom of a friend. The topics covered in these warm and highly personal conversations are broad and varied, but one thing comes through with constancy and clarity: there is great value in a wise, experienced friend to help us see more clearly and to strengthen our growth in faith and godliness. A big part of living courageously lies in having fierce, authentic conversations.
If you want to be part of these conversations, you can. Just call, listen to where the conversation is going and 'jump in' by pressing #1 to be in the queue. If you wish just to remain as a listener press #2. Also, you can listen to these conversations at any time you wish after the show, follow Charlotte View and be "in the loop"

with all the news surrounding the Planned Parenthood baby parts scandal, it's a wonder we haven't covered the issue so far.
Truthfully, those in the know about this issue have been so busy and swamped with media themselves that I haven't been able to get them on the air.
At least, until tonight.
Stay tuned at 9-00 p.m. CT, as we devote the first hour of the Andre Controversa show to this gruesome but timely topic.
Our guest is Jim Sedlak, founder of Stop Planned Parenthood and vice-president of the American Life League.
Jim will give us a detailed overview of the three videos from the Center for Medical Progress, as well as the allegations they are making against PP.
Our second hour will feature Logan Albright, spokesman for Freedom Works, who will tell us why so many conservatives and libertarians are disgusted with John Boehner.
We will discuss the recent coup attempt by North Carolina Congressman Mark Meadows, as well as Mark Levin's bold statement urging Boehner and McConnell to resign.
That segment will cover the first 30 minutes of the second hour.
For now, we don't have anything scheduled for the last 30 minutes, so Jim and I will probably give our oh-so-eloquent commentary on the political scene.
If I get a guest for the last 30 minutes, I will send an update.
Please tune in at www.blogtalkradio.com/andrecontroversa, starting at 9-00 p.m. Ct.
you can also find us at www.libertarianrepublican.net.
Feel free to call in during the show at 914-803-4350.
We'll see you this evening.
We listen to and discuss the promos and Pro Wrestling career of the great Rowdy Roddy Piper.

The “Off to the Races” session also featured speeches from Democrats Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley and Republican Ben Carson. The session began with Carson, followed by Clinton, O’Malley and Sanders.
Bush presented himself as someone who’s increased opportunities for African-Americans and said his intentions to overhaul education and dramatically increase economic growth would make things much better in the future.
Hillary Clinton mocked Bush for his “right to rise” s logan. She didn’t mention him by name, but repeatedly suggested that his positions and record make it a hollow slogan. “I don’t think you can credibly say everyone has a right to rise” if they can’t afford health care, if the minimum wage is too low to live on, if college is unaffordable – and, she emphasized – if someone embraces policies that deny the right to vote.
“My views are a little bit different than others,” he said. “Given the enormous crises that this country faces today – crises that may be more severe than at any other time other than the Great Depression of the 1930s – frankly it is too late for establishment policies, it is too late establishment politics.” Senate Sanders Sun Sentinel

His father embarks on a bizarre odyssey to get his son back to normal in HELL IS FOR REAL, an outrageous, star-studded new musical comedy.Comedy writer Gary Apple got the idea for his show after reading the book
“Heaven Is For Real.” In that runaway bestseller, a little boy goes to Heaven and returns to talk about it. “I thought it would be considerably more interesting if the cute little kid went to Hell instead of Heaven,” says Apple. And as if that wasn’ttwisted enough, he decided to make it a musical. The script caught the eye of director Jay Stern, who has directed a string ofacclaimed NYC Fringe shows, including the award-winning musical “The Bardy Bunch.” For HELL IS FOR REAL, Stern and his team assembled a dream cast, populated with Broadway heavy-hitters. Katherine Nuyens was a teacher/school counselor for 25 years. After feeling that she had completed that work, Katherine was led into alternative healing methods, beginning with Hypnosis. A whole new world opened up to her and moved her into expansion. Synchronicities continually happened that led her into new healing modalities.
Katherine is thrilled to use the powerful, revolutionary Emotion Code/Body Code, created by Dr. Nelson, to find and release what is underneath the challenges we all experience. It is all mental, emotional, spiritual and/or physical that create these issues.
Presently, she has been offered a new opportunity to do more teaching. I recently trained with Dr. Shad Helmstetter, author of The Power of Neuroplasticity. I am gifted with the opportunity to share with the world the newest scientific discovery that every thought we think actually rewires our brain. Thus, we can change our life with this new information from neuroscience.
