Tune in as the Sistas chat with Dawn Armstrong from Meet the Mormons. The new film from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shares some of the struggles and triumphs of Dawn's life. In Meet the Mormons she captures our attention and hearts as a single mother turned wife and missionary mom. Now she'll share with us the story behind the story.
Kathy Armstrong (Ariel) Author of the book Be Made Whole and Producer of the Movie Los Angel. Kathy has been assigned to many project by God and she is a lady who is on the move with helping others. Places you may find Kathy, New York, Carolinas, and Hollywood Califoria.
Franny Armstrong is a mother of three and a grandmother of four. Her husband supports her imagination and has the patience of a saint. She’s been writing since she was a child, creating plays to act out in front of the neighborhood children. She charged them five cents admission to join her in the family garage for the play.
Since 2002, after a serious breakdown, Franny had to express herself on the computer since she couldn’t speak, everything coming out gibberish at that time. She’s slowly healed to the point that she can function fairly well. Writing was the best medicine for her and still is.
Franny, an author of paranormal romance stories, also loves to write about rainforests and Caribbean islands rather than about cities. Her characters are well rounded and share her wacky sense of humor.
We humans often feel the need to make things happen – to have things turn out the way we think they should. If we’re facing serious challenges, or if something we’re working on hasn’t happened, our minds tend to jump into action, trying to figure out what to do next.
But the more we struggle to have things go our way, fear, discouragement or frustration can set in, only adding to our struggles.
In Jack Armstrong’s new book, You Don’t Need to Conduct the Orchestra!, Lessons on Letting Go, Trusting and Allowing, he shares previously unpublished spiritual teachings that gently remind us that we can let go of the struggle and then trust and allow our highest good to flow into our lives.
For more than 35 years, Jack Armstrong has been a reluctant, yet willing, conduit for receiving and transcribing remarkable spiritual teachings through a form of channeling known as Inner Dictation -- the same phenomenon through which A Course in Miracles was received.
After publishing his first book, Lessons from the Source, in 2008, Jack decided to devote his life to sharing these inspiring messages with others for whom they can be helpful, and You Don’t Need to Conduct the Orchestra! is his third publication.
Jack is an explorer on the spiritual path whose life’s journey has included stops as a nonprofit executive, Peace Corps volunteer, congressional candidate, small business owner, actor, voiceover artist, and hospice volunteer. He lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington, and strives to practice the lessons he has received.

The importance of the information in this book cannot be over-estimated. As a society,, if we were to listen to its simple instructions, we would ‘grow’ healthier, happier children who felt attended to and loved as infants on up and would manifest the behaviors & attitudes as teenagers and adults which could effectively continue to ‘grow’ our society into one that is compassionate, sustainable, creative and mature.

"The Writer’s Circle of Champions"
My guest this Tuesday is Charmaine Hammond, an international speaker, and bestselling award winning author. She describes herself as an accidental author... She hadn't really thought about writing a book however, her dog Toby gave her so much to write about, she wrote a story for Chicken Soup for the Soul. Shortly after that she met a publisher who wanted to turn Toby's story into a book. She now has three books in the Toby series (2 are for children), a personal development book, GPS Your Best Life co-authored with her dear friend Debra Kasowski, and is featured in five other books. In the past five years she has learned a great deal about writing, the publishing world, and, marketing and selling your books. She loves to share her learnings with authors to help save them from some of the time consuming and costly mistakes and learnings she experienced so you can just get on with writing and sharing your message with the world!
There are many choices authors make about where to spend their time, money and other resources. Charmaine discovered with her first book that you can share your message with more people and impact more lives when you bring on a circle of champions, and corporate partners and sponsors. Charmaine has been successful (and so have her students) in having corporate partners sponsor her presentations, tours, events, and even bulk orders of books to provide to schools, and attendees at her events. From having her clothing sponsored to having hotels host her stay, and having the products she needs like printing, marketing materials and office supplies provided by businesses.
