Greg Greenlee is the Founder of the Blacks In Technology organization. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Greg has over 12+ years of technology experience as a Systems and Network Engineer. Greg has obtained several industry standard technology certifications as well as his degree in Computer Network Engineering. His organization, Blacks In Technology (http://www.blacksintechnology.net) has an online membership base of over 1000 black technology and engineering professionals worldwide. Blacks in Technology aims to increase engagement among people of African Descent in technology and engineering for so that we may cultivate top talent, world class leaders and influencers in the field of Technology and Engineering. BIT is “Stomping the Divide” by establishing a blueprint of world class technical excellence and innovation and providing resources, guidance and issuing a challenge to our members to surpass the high mark and establish new standards of global innovation.
Anari Sengbe, founder of Gamerholic.com has some very interesting ideas regarding the plight of the Black Technologist. He and I have had several online conversations via the BiTWiSE fan page as well as the Blacks In Technology site.

Minority Tech: Journaling Through Blackness & Technology is the new book from technology translator Anjuan Simmons. Anjuan is a technologist with a successful track record of delivering technology solutions from the user interface to the database. He is currently a software project manager at a leading construction software manufacturer, and he has worked as an executive for Accenture, Deloitte, and Infosys.
Anjuan speaks at several business and technology conferences throughout the year adn is a sought after thought leader in social media, design, diversity, and leadership. He has been interviewed for media outlets such as NPR, USA Today, Black Enterprise, Essence, and The Huffington Post. Anjuan has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Texas A&M University.

In 2010 I wrote an article for The Atanta Post where I posed the question: Where Are the Black Mobile App Developers?? I am happy to report that since then several Black mobile developers have answered the call. Lateef Martin, creator of the new game The Firemasters, scheduled to be released in July, is one such developer.
