Gary Parker was born in Columbus, Georgia, and began training in Kodokan Judo as a high school student in 1984; after high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and was stationed at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa. Shortly after arrival in Okinawa, Parker enrolled in the Hamagawa Dojo, where he learned under the watchful eye of Takamiyagi Hiroshi, Hanshi – The founder of Goshukan-Ryu Karate. After separation from the Air Force, he was granted a visa and continued to live and train in Okinawa until 1996, when he moved back to his native Georgia in the United States. Parker received authorization to teach Goshukan-Ryu in America, and opened the first branch Okinawa Goshukan-Ryu Dojo outside of Okinawa in 1999.
As the senior American student of Takamiyagi Hiroshi, Mr. Parker serves as the North American Honbu-Cho/Director for Goshukan-Ryu Karate; he also hosts the annual Goshukan Gasshuku, and teaches at regional training camps and seminars as he works passionately to spread his teacher’s art and the values of Okinawan Karate and Wu Zhu Quan (Five Ancestor Kenpo).
He is the pioneer of Okinawa Goshukan-Ryu Karate in North America, and is the author of dozens of articles and has worked in both the Private Security industry, honing his skills in the tactical training field, in addition to being a small business owner, and a corporate trainer.

Tonight our special guest will be Grand Master Dan Medina.
Dan Medina was first introduced to martial arts with a combination of Judo and the Navy Seal Quick-Kill method. He joined the Black Masters Sphinx Karate Clan of the Philippines, and discovered the art of Arnis 63 Generals. In 1978, he joined Philippine Martial Arts Studio and studied with Shihan Raynaldo Gingco a Kyokushin and Kuntaw Instructor.
In 1980, he became a student of Grandmaster Narrie Babao learning the arts of Arnis Batangas and Kuntao. 1984 to 86, Medina, mastered the Ocho system and Modern Arnis Ernesto Presas Style under the tutelage of Philip Pabalinas. In 1986, Dan Medina moved to Hawaii and became a disciple of Great Grandmaster Braulio T. Pedoy and his son, Batikan Eduardo J. Pedoy.

Lauderdale, Florida. 2015 marks the 10th year of his transition, it is our purpose to serve the martial arts community as Doc did and we intend to promote all arts including our highlight Okinawan Karate. Since Doc was a multi-faceted martial artist, famous for his one finger forward roll, silent and graceful, the founder of Sanuces Ryu Ju Jutsu his legacy live's on within his students. This program will cater to all who knew him and had been touched by him. The stories will be preserved for generations to come. This is why we serve Doc in order to preserve and protect his legacy and the legacies of so many others.

Donald Alley is a martial practitioner with over 10 years of experience. He has practiced personal protection training methodology with broad-spectrum awareness. He is a black belt in classical Ju Jutsu, Assistant Instructor at the Martial Science Center, and an Emergency Preparedness Instructor and Program Coordinator at Martial Tactical Training of Michigan. Furthermore, he is an NRA Instructor for Basic Pistol and Personal Protection firearm training. His product line, Bu Tactical, includes items for protection, preparedness, and survival applications.
