    in Sports

Welcome back to the Jungle! It's been a while and Chris and Ryan back talking NBA playoffs and the NBA Draft lottery. The lottery might be more important than the whole 2015-16 season for teams like the Knicks, Sixers, and Lakers. And the Clippers just collapsed after being up 3-1 over the Rockets, is it time to break the band up? Then, in the East, do the Hawks have what it takes to get past LeBron and the Cavs? Tune in to see what the guys have to say.

All major news outlets in the past few days have related stories of the bird flu and it’s ravages on poulty producers throught the Mid-West reporting some 40 million birds have died or put down due to contamination. It’s not just chickens, the turkey population is also now affected. Should you be worried? Is there a reason to be concerned for your health? Where is the virus now, can it be stopped or contained? We all watched a few years back as Asia and the Middle East battled with Avian Flu and wondered then when or if it would arrive here. Well it’s here and it’s affecting birds, millions of them. The cost is skyrocketing with predictions that US consumers will pay an additional 7 to 8 million dollars more for eggs and chicken meat. What will the economic and health toll be? Tune in and lets talk turkey, literally.

"Trane", The Bird and Irma and the Boyz’s Saxophone Jazz band

    in Music

June 13 I had the privilege of meeting my Co-Host Mr. Garth Kline at C103 studios because he had a new upcoming saxophone band “Irma and the Boyz’s “that wanted a chance to spread their Musical wings. When asked "Who was your inspiration? The answer came back (1) Charlie Parker and (2) John Coltrane. Which led me to this show !

John William Coltrane, AKA "Trane" (1926 – 1967), American jazz saxophonist composer. Working in the bebop & hard bop idioms early in his career, Coltrane helped pioneer the use of modes in jazz, was later at the forefront of free jazz.

As his career progressed, Coltrane took on an increasingly spiritual dimension.

Charles Parker, Jr. (1920 –1955), AKA "Yardbird" "Bird", American jazz saxophonist & composer.

Parker was a highly influential jazz soloist and a leading figure in the development of bebop, a form of jazz characterized by fast tempos, virtuosic technique and improvisation. Parker introduced revolutionary harmonic ideas including rapid passing chords, new variants of altered chords, and chord substitutions. His tone ranged from clean and penetrating to sweet and somber. Parker acquired the nickname "Yardbird" early in his career; this and its shortened form, "Bird", which  inspired the titles of a number of Parker compositions, such as Yardbird Suite,

Both Coltrane and Parker influenced innumerable musicians, such as Irma and the Boyzs.

The Early Bird Midnight Special! - Dream Catcher - Les Paul

At 22 Years of age I was young and pre TBI. I was feeling very heathy and taking on the future like on like a Mad Man on a mission when an AVM in my brain that had been hiding quietly erupted like a violent Volcano in my Brain from Birth struck from deep within my Brain as fast as lightning as I Screamed for help collapsing to the cement floor of the Factory that I worked as the fire of the explosive Aneurism in my brain hit me with blunt and brutal Fury from deep within my Skull with murderous intent!

I had visons of both being a professional Moto Cross Racer and a singer song writer musician and yet there I was screaming in pain like never before fighting for my very existence. The Good News is I am still here alive and kick wiring many permeant battle scars and even though I had several more surgeries all over my brain I have lived long enough to be thankful for all the pain and even can say I feel blessed. How about you do you feel week tired and angry or do you view life through a different lens that say no matter what keep on moving and fight not only for your own Independence but as a freedom Fighter for Justus and good for all people with disabilities.

Tonight I’m calling my show the Midnight early Bird Special because in my mind I say it’s time to celebrate success and heck even failure if you dare to believe in your Dreams because failure is just another word for survivors who are inspired to go back jack and do it again and again until we find out yes indeed life is good and worth living if you only give you self a chance and fight for the future with all the gusto you can muster up!!!

We will Talk and chat tonight so be ready to share your stories and listen to some great Indi music because and life is good and well worth living here at Dream Catchers a place where people come to listen, Learn, talk, and feel like part of the community again!
