Author, poet, dream interpreter, psychotheapist and mother June O'Brien has done it again. In the second book of her trilogy, "The Blue Child Series" she has knocked it out of the park with "The North Road." The series is about three mature Native American sisters who have adventures in time and space and the mystical realms which will keep you on the edge of your seat. "The North Road" is a comtemporary version of the age-old battle between dark and light, and this book is hard to put down. I cannot wait to read the third one, which is as yet unwritten.
A native Oklahoman, June lives near Seattle and is a member of the Nansemond tribe.
If you liked Lynn Andrews books, you will love June O'Brien's. June tells her stories with the voice of authenticity, as she is a Native American herself.
Available on Amazon and Kindle.

Unexpected Grace: A Discovery of Healing through Surrender, has just recently been released. This motivational story shares her journey to find healing after life-changing medical challenges and the many losses that came from it. Struggling with career, identity, and self-worth – and more importantly, the loss of dreams and expectations – each phase of the journey brings new truths, lessons and perspectives. With ultimate surrender and a strong connection to a network of friends, June finds true acceptance, without resignation, and balance and center in the extremes of life. With love and support, she discovers the courage to be vulnerable. And at the end of the journey, she comes, quite unexpectedly, to a place of grace.
Most people take for granted that when they select a wine, the ingredients are going to be pure and natural. However, as most conscious consumers know, this is not the case. There are 200 ingredients on the list of government-approved additives for wine. However, unlike food, wine manufacturers arent required to list their ingredients (which can include animal proteins, oak chips, sulfurs, yeasts, enzymes, preservatives, and “Mega Purple” which is a brand of highly concentrated wine color) on the side label. This renders most consumers to be clueless about what exactly is in their wine and used to produce it. In the book, Naked Wine, wine expert, Alice Feiring explores these very issues as she discusses the process of natural wine making. She also explains some key questions that most consumers are confused about such as: What is the difference between natural and organic wine? Whats the connection between the natural food and the natural wine movement? When did winemaking stop being an “art” and become an industry? How much influence does “big business” really have in the wine world? In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer will speak to award winning expert, Alice Feiring. Alice Feiring is an award-winning food and wine journalist and author of the Battle for Wine and Love. Formerly the wine/travel columnist for Time, she now writes for the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Conde Nast Traveler and the Los Angeles Times Magazine, among many others. Stay tuned!

In the world of beekeeping, neonicotinoids have maintained the spotlight as the scientific evidence continues to grow regarding the decline of the worlds bee population. Neonicotinoids are defined by the EPA as a class of insecticides with a common mode of action that affects the central nervous system of insects, causing paralysis and death. All of the neonicotinoids were registered after 1984 and were not subject to reregistration. Some uncertainties have been identified since their initial registration regarding the potential environmental fate and effects of neonicotinoid pesticides, particularly as they relate to pollinators. Data suggests that neonicotinic residues can accumulate in pollen and nectar of treated plants and may represent a potential exposure to pollinators. Adverse effects data as well as beekill incidents have also been reported, highlighting the potential direct and/or indirect effects of neonicotinic pesticides. Therefore, among other refinements to ecological risk assessment during registration review, the Agency will consider potential effects of the neonicotinoids to honeybees and other pollinating insects. Dr. David Goulson, Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Sterling and his team have conducted new research titled “Neonicotinoid pesticide reduces bumble bee colony growth and queen production.” In this special series called “The Neonicotinoid View”, host, June Stoyer and special guest co- host, Tom Theobald talk to Dr. David Goulson, Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Sterling to discuss his research.
