    Southern California Political Round-up

    in Politics Conservative

The Southern California Political Round-up is back on the air on Sunday nights at 6pm PST, 9pm EST, to go over the past week's political events and prepare you for the upcoming week's expectations.

We will go over the latest in the presidential races every Sunday night, hear from local elected officials, political candidates and activists, and other guests striving to make a difference in Southern California. We have expanded to two hours as we invite more guests, including many of you, to participate in political topic panels. We also plan to expand our coverage greatly to include as many Southern California election races, from the Presidential primaries and Congressional races to the local races where conservatives need the support.

On this show, Coastal San Pedro Neighborhood Council board member Shannon Ross will join us to talk about some local issues she's working on in the San Pedro community, including the increasing homelessness attention. We'll also talk about the increasing intensity in the GOP Presidential Primary, as well as how the Democratic Presidential Primary is shifting.

Join us in our show chat room or call in to ask a question to one of our guests or to voice an opinion. (646) 787-1878

The LizyT show with Julian Kelly

Julian Kelly was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1983 and was placed for adoption shortly thereafter. She has been searching for her birth-family officially since age 18, but had been searching on the internet since age 12. Her adoption has deeply affected every aspect of her life, which led to the formation of the documentary film “ Almost Family”. She is interested in educating the general public about the unintended consequences of adoption, and the links between adoption and mental illness. Julian has a long-standing history as an advocate for marriage equality, and is now advocating for adoptees’ access to their original birth certificates. While filming the documentary “ Almost Family” Julian was able to find some of her birth family through DNA testing, but has not yet confirmed the identity of her birth-parents. Making the film was cathartic for her, but she emphasizes that adoption reunions are not for the faint of heart. Julian firmly believes that having basic and accurate ancestry information is a basic human right. Her documentary explores many facets of adoption that are often ignored by mainstream outlets.
