Juke Joint Jonny is a Blues man, band leader, singer, songwriter and historian.
Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1950, he was introduced at a very young age to the “Folk Blues” by sharecroppers who moved North and shared their music and culture in the ethnically diverse neighborhood of his youth.
Jonny has recently signed with Bluesleaf Records and his new release Pure and Simple was released this spring. The Album features 10 original songs by Jonn.
We will talk with Jonny and find out more about his life while checking out his tunes.

A Los Angeles-based band who play blues-roots-rock music. The raw rough and tough sounds generated by these four musicians during live performances and in the making of their Sophomore album Americana, on the Rip Cat label, is pure California Blues.
The band consists of Johnny Main on vocals and guitar, Tex Nakamura on harmonica, bassist Mike Turturro and drummer J. R. Lozano.
We will chat with the guys and find out more about their lives while we listen to music from the band.
